Deeks: So Lance really does yoga, somehow I cannot imagine that.
Kensi: Me neither. I still keep wondering if he was joking.
Deeks: Do you think he’d let me join him for a session?
Kensi: Lance is a great guy, but I don’t really see you two bonding while you find your inner peace.
Deeks: True, but I’d love to see him attempt the lotus position. That would be truly hilarious.
Special Agent Hamilton.
His name is Special Agent Hamilton.
And he’s really, really, REALLY big. He’s just so big. He’s just so...big.
NCIS: Los Angeles S11E17 - Watch Over Me
In the 17th episode of the 11th season of NCIS: Los Angeles, the team investigates the disappearance of an undercover FBI Agent with help from Lance Hamilton as well as newest team member, Fatima.
I have to admit I’m surprised. I enjoyed this episode a whole lot more than I thought I would. Despite the fact that Deeks was absent I really enjoyed this episode, especially since Fatima is now an official member of the team and the return of everyone’s favourite DOJ Agent, Lance Hamilton. Also I just want to say the intro/recap was sooo long, possibly one of the longest the show has EVER had. Anyway this was a great episode as the team were tracking down a missing FBI agent who gone dark during an undercover operation and along the way, his backup was killed. However, the team was a little different this time. Not only was Deeks absent, but for a change we also saw a little less of Sam since he was away spending time with his son, Aiden. It was good to see Aiden. It’s a shame he doesn’t get to appear more often because I really like his character despite the very little screen time he gets. Anyway with Deeks away on LAPD business and Sam doing some father-son time with Aiden, the team mainly consisted of Callen, Fatima, Kensi and Lance.
It’s always great to see Lance again and I really like his time with Kensi. It’s always interesting to see those two together, but Densi will always be my favourite partnership. However, they weren’t alone as they were also working alongside FBI Agent whose partner was killed shortly into the beginning of the episode, but there was just something about him I just didn’t like and as the episode progressed there was something fishy going on with this case. Turns out the FBI Agent Devin the team was trying to locate was running for his life, similar to Eric’s kidnapping situation last year. He discovered the FBI Agent in this episode were dirty and were trying to kill him and it wasn’t long until the team put two and two together and managed to save his life. Although Devin didn’t get much screen-time, I already really like him. I hope he appears in more episodes to come. I can tell he would make a good fit for the NCIS LA team and I get the feeling that Sam knew that after talking with him and Callen by the end.
Aside from the main case of the week, other moments I enjoyed included Callen and Fatima’s partnership and seeing Callen concerned about her after her recent ordeal was really sweet. Plus I loved the gunfight at the supermarket. It was awesome and definitely one of my favourite gunfights. I think it’s actually better than the one from last year during one of the last times we saw Lance when he worked together with Sam and Fatima during everyone’s day off. However, I think my favourite moment of all was Sam and Aiden’s moment on the beach just catching up and learning what’s going on in Aiden’s life. He’s doing well and has got into flight school, making Sam one proud papa. What’s even sweeter is that Michelle was mentioned and she would be proud of Aiden too. I won’t lie though. For a moment, when Aiden mentioned his girlfriend, Amanda I wondered if Sam was going to tell him about Katherine, but I guess that’s a time for another day.
However, my least favourite moment was with Eric at the start of the episode. I thought he was just really annoying with Sam at the start. Can’t a guy just do his workout in peace? All in all I really enjoyed this episode, but I can’t help but wonder when the whole team gets back together in a few weeks time who will officially become Fatima’s partner? It was nice seeing her working together with Callen, but everyone on the team has an official partner so who will hers be I wonder? I guess time will tell. Overall, this was definitely a great episode and one of my favourites of the season.
Looks like Kensi is back in boots and Lance is back.
So I’ve been thinking about 11x17 and how Kensi is paired up with Hamilton. Don’t get me wrong, I like Bill Goldberg, I’m just not a fan of his character. He’s like dry I guess or maybe stif. If Deeks can’t be with her I’d rather see her paired with DeChamps or I don’t know maybe Talia. And I can’t believe I’m saying this but I’d even goes as far as saying her partner up with Sabitino for the day. 😐
I’m kinda wondering if Dani’s hashtag partner for a day actually meant just that. Like Deeks and Sam have to go somewhere together so Kensi went with Hamilton to check something out.
Just saw the 4th sneak peek and good god. Dude, tone it down a little.
