                          melancholy  as they were,   he’s come to  enjoy  these moments shared with the blue paladin  ;  where the  quiet hum  of the ship’s engines offer a comforting  heartbeat  against stark silence.    away from the others,   hidden from view,   he’s noticed that’s the only time the other  really  lets his guard down.   the wall of  bravado  is gone,    replaced with one of an  unsure  &&  scared child.  they’ve such an arduous journey ahead of them,  often times coran forgets:   the majority of them are not even considered adults on their home planet.     it’s a thought that strikes close to home.  they were children,   saddled with ending a war his generation had started,   light years away from their loved ones.    of course,  he’d miss them.   ❪  he misses his family as well.  ❫

                         ❝      i think it would be wrong if you  didn’t.    - i ...  know our situation isn’t ideal,    but at the very least,    perhaps you can find  comfort  in knowing that you still have a chance at seeing them  again  one day.  safe from the threat of the galra empire.   i mean,  that's what this is about, eh ?   keeping them all safe.      ❞
