lancer is my current fav oc.... she started orbiting the car scene in the mid/late 90s thanks to her then-boyfriend, but started getting really involved around the turn of the century after a car-naming blunder socially embarrassed her so bad she vowed to learn everything she could about cars. this incident also got her the nickname lancer :)

in 2001 she reconnects with an old high school friend, jessica (who i need to draw more so she can get her own post), who also expresses an interest in cars since she has a vintage 70's mustang. around this time lancer kickstarts her terrorism of local car meets, but in a yet-to-be decided car. probably an eclipse? she only gets her evo in 2003, when the 8 makes it to the american market

"what does she do" you may ask. Well she rolls up to car meets, parks a few blocks away, and then plays dumb and clueless around the guys. she baits them into what they think will be an easy race, only to completely embarrass them. she's a total girl's girl though, like "drunk girl in the bar bathroom" type shit.

the design of her with the short hair is what i imagine she looks like in the modern day, where she's around her 40s :) she's mellowed out some, and owns her own mechanic shop where local troubled teenage girls flock to her for reasons like stray cats for reasons she really doesn't gaf about. also being transparent for a second here she exists in a universe adjacent to the cars movies because i think when she starts to mellow out she'd get along with cal weathers a lot. she would hate lmq though
