Well, this happened…finally!! Can’t believe it. It’s been a very interesting & fun three years @chaffeycollege; we had a good run, and I’m glad to have made it to the finish line. When I initially took that step of faith three years ago to go back to school, I thought I’d be in school forever & that it would take a lifetime to finish. But God, in His inifinite grace, mercy, and absolute love saw me through to the end, which brings me to this day. Many shoutout’s to my family for being that constant support and encouragement throughout these last few years; I love you. To all my friends who also gave me that encouragement to keep going, I can’t thank you & love you enough. Special thanks to all my music professors, Dr. David Rentz, Prof. Fahad Siadat, Prof. Pat Aranda, & the @chaffeycollegechoirs: you all encouraged & pushed me in the fields of music that I didn’t think I could go through, and I thank you all so much for pouring into me and allowing me to see music in a different light that I hadn’t known before. To my voice teacher @arielpisturino, words can’t express all the love and gratitude and thankfulness I have for showing me what other capabilities my voice had that I didn’t know I could tap into. I’ll never forget them and I will miss our times together, but always know I’ll remember what you taught and showed me and will keep it close. To CBU & the School of Music, I am super stoked and excited to be starting in the fall with you, but I’m not gonna lie: I’m a little intimidated by you, and don’t quite know what the future holds. Nevertheless, I am pressing on and taking that step of faith once again to see what the Lord will do & it’s something I can’t wait to be a part of. My prayer is not only to continue to learn more and grow more, but also that I can be a light to those who need Him and to use the gifts & talents He’s bestowed to me to be an example of His love.
