What have RCAH faculty and staff been up to this summer? Steve Baibak, the RCAH LookOut! preparator and instructor for the upcoming Reclamation Studio course in Spring 2015, has his work displayed in (SCENE) Metrospace's newest summer exhibition, Landsome: Landscape and Then Some.
RCAHers Ethan Tate and Caroline Caswell also have work as part of the exhibit. Stop by and see the show at (SCENE) Metrospace during their regular hours of Thursdays, 2 to 5 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays, 2 to 6 p.m., and Sundays, noon to 4 p.m.
"Landsome" Exhibit opens Friday, July 11!
Please join me on Friday, July 11th, from 6-9 p.m. at (SCENE) Metrospace in East Lansing for the opening reception of Landsome: Landscape and Then Some. Free and open to the public, refreshments provided. I will have three brand new paintings included in the show. Landsome: Landscape and Then Some is primarily an exhibition featuring local artists who use landscape as a point of departure, or as a vehicle, for questioning or presenting themes and ideas beyond visual landscape. Sculpture, painting, installation, digital photography, enhanced photography. Featured artists: Doug Heilman, Robert Park, Jerrie Sasson, Kathleen Matkovic, Steve Baibak, Michael Mosher, Peter Richards, Karen Massoglia, Erika Puleo, Caroline Caswell & Ethan Tate. July 12th-August 24th. Opening reception: Friday, July 11th, 6-9 p.m., free. (SCENE) Metrospace is East Lansing’s City-funded alternative art gallery and performance space.
