Oh thank you! I wish all the best on your quest---sadly this is going to be a little difficult to track down right now. I live in a sort of medium-sized US city and it is playing on one (1) screen. Incidentally, the same weirdly arty Regal that was the only spot I could get The Souvenir: Part II last year, and this in a city with like a dozen thriving independent theaters! Oddly, I actually suspect it would be easier to find if it was released in the more crowded but less predictable fall season, as right now it's counter-programming to the summer blockbusters, and the indie houses seem to all be placing their bets on the new Cronenberg for that.
But, coming out on June 3rd is at least entertaining in how it would seem to be a Pride-related decision, and lol love it. Where's that joke about how Pride marketing is always playing to rainbow-decked partybabes while most of the queers everyone knows in real life are like, morbid little tired weirdos. Terence Davies gets u!!
the way sheldon conflates being quantifiably "good" with being more deserving of praise and love (ie, he thought his father preferred walter because he was smart and a perfectionist) but doesn't listen to walter when he tells sheldon that those are ideal traits of employees, not children- AND THEN he applies those unobtainable standards to his own children. hoo boy.
