ANGRY KISS
[Yatagarasu]: Hey [Yatagarasu]: Hey [Yatagarasu]: Hey [interpolalpha]: what His cellphone had been beeping for the past five minutes. He had a good feeling about who it was, and checking the device only proved his intuition right. If left unchecked Kay would not hesitate to spam him with messages, even if he was working on an important case which was sure to give him a migraine. He appreciated those breaks from investigating, but that would only encourage her, so he did not say anything. [Yatagarasu]: are you busy today? [interpolalpha]: yes [Yatagarasu]: with what? [interpolalpha]: murder case That made her pause for a bit, which was good, since the witness looked quite put out at being put on hold. Shi-Long barked orders at his pack to start searching for clues, and sure enough, the phone buzzed in his hands. [Yatagarasu]: Do you need the help of the Great Thief? [interpolalpha]: no. [Yatagarasu]: i'm comin' anyway [interpolalpha]: no And then she stopped responding. He knew she was restless, what with no leads and everyone being too busy for her. He would be, too. But that did not mean he liked her snooping around his crime scene and badgering witnesses. That little device - Little Thief? - could be useful, but with his authority he was rarely in need of it. He interrogated the main suspect again, snarling when the incompetent fool gave useless information. He heard her footsteps before he heard her voice. She was light on her feet, the very tip of her feet barely hitting the ground. It was comforting, in a way. "The Great Ninja Thief is on scene!" "Keep your voice down, pup." "Oh. Sorry. Anyway, I have decided to be your assistant for this case!" "I don't need an assistant." "Of course you don't. I have already stolen the title." She was not helping his migraine. "Are you okay?" Just because she was always silly didn't mean she couldn't calm down when needed. Lang was sure every inch of him screamed frustration. "Yes." "Cheer up! We'll catch the culprit and bring the truth to light!" If only it were that simple. "Let's start interrogating people." "That's what I've been doing." "Obviously you didn't do it right. Let's go!" Kay did not know anything about the case, so it was less her leading the case and more him dragging her around the crime scene. Witnesses being uncooperative was bad enough, but one thing was the straw that broke the camel's back. "Mr. Helsy, you say you were working overtime when the murder took place. What did you hear?" "I already told you people anything I know. I don't know why you keep badgering me! I will not have my actions questioned by some... some... some wench!" Kay was left gaping. It took a few seconds for it to register that Lang was holding the worker against the wall by his shirt. "Stop! Don't. You'll get in trouble." Something was wrong. He never got angry easily. Annoyed, sure, but full out angry? That was a rare sight. And boy was it terrifying. He looked so much like a wolf. Kay touched his shoulder in an attempt to calm him. He shrugged it off and snarled once more at the worker before letting him collapse into a shaking mess. He started stalking off at a quicker pace than she could follow. She was practically running to keep up with his furious pace. "It was nothing. Come on, let's take a break." Lang turned around to face her, and the deep frown was still in place. And then, unannouncedly, he pressed his lips against hers. It was very different from her past experiences - all of which were grade school smooches. It was aggressive and needy. She could feel his arms gripping her shoulders tight and his scent - sandalwood and old spice. It was oddly comforting. Just as suddenly he broke off the kiss, leaving her to stare at his patterned jacket as he continued his walk down the coridor.
I want the K(ay Faraday)
· 4: Forehead Kiss
It was pouring outside.
The young thief let out a quiet sigh. She would have toughed out the rain, normally, but with thunder and lightning, heading outside was a no-go. And so she found herself sitting in a small cafe with none other than Interpol Agent Shi-Long Lang. Well, and the barista, but she didn’t know them.
Kay let out a quiet sigh as she leaned back in the booth seat, watching the steam rise from her tea. Beside her, Lang took another sip of his coffee, watching the storm outside.
“You think it’ll be over soon?” she asked quietly, breaking the silence.
“It’s been raining for a while, sis,” he offered in way of reply.
She nodded, sizing up the storm outside before leaning forward and wrapping her gloved hands around the tea, calmly listening to the storm. Indeed, the rain was showing no signs of letting up and, in fact, had only gotten progressively worse over the last half hour or so.
Kay let out a small yawn as she slouched down, feeling rather sleepy. Sitting around with nothing to do did that to her. Well, maybe she’d shut her eyes for a minute. That couldn’t hurt.
Against all odds, she’d dozed off a moment later.
Lang, who had been staring out the window whilst sipping his coffee, had been surprised to find a sudden weight against his shoulder. Looking to the side, he saw that Kay had fallen asleep, her head finding a place against his side. He let out a quiet sigh as he shifted his position, trying not to wake her while also trying to make himself comfortable. After a few minutes, he was able to settle in a rather comfortable position, considering he had a young girl using him as a pillow.
The next fifteen minutes or so passed rather uneventfully, with the rainstorm pattering on as relentlessly as before. However, Lang’s focus was returned to Kay when the girl started twitching, her hand grabbing tightly onto his jacket. From the distressed expression on her face, he could glean that she was having a nightmare.
He shifted his arm and gently shook her shoulder.
“You’re dreaming. Wake up,” he ordered sternly.
The girl muttered something incoherent about forgetting, but did not awaken. Lang shook her shoulder again, harder this time. Her eyes snapped open, then, as a shout of “Don’t forget me!” left her mouth.
Upon her becoming fully conscious of her surroundings, she flinched away from Lang, sliding over in the booth. She wrapped her hands back around her tea and stared sullenly into its depths with a sort of sad silence.
“I won’t forget you, sis.”
Kay turned at the sound of Lang’s voice.
“What?” “I said, I won’t forget you.” If you’d asked him later, he wouldn’t have known what had come over him in that instant. But whatever had didn’t matter. Only what he did.
The older, brunette male leaned over and gently pressed his lips against the younger girl’s forehead. A look of surprise flashed across her face, and a light flush covered her cheeks.
Just then, the rain stopped.
Without saying a word Lang slid out of the booth, grabbing his now-lukewarm coffee with one hand. He proceeded to head over to the door, but paused before he exited.
“You coming?”
The girl nodded quickly, grabbing her tea and running over to the door. She pushed it open and held it for Lang, and together the two stepped out onto the street.
Maybe rain wasn’t so bad after all.

Well, this was sudden! At least it was anything too romantic, just something that could be done as a gesture between friends. After hesitating a moment, she leaned up and gave the elder (and much taller) male a small, quick kiss on the cheek.
Our muse’s ship name: Kaylang
If I ship the ship:
{Yes, I do ship this ship. Very much so.}
If the muse ships the ship:
"Ships? Like a boat? I don’t get what you’re trying to ask."
{She doesn’t, not yet. Wink wink nudge nudge.}
If i think they would get married:
{Not really, no. At least not at the current time. Kay’s still pretty young, after all. Give them a few years and then we’ll see.}
And if the muse thinks they would get married:
"Me? Lang? Get married? No way!"
