“This is unlike you, coming unannounced.”, Gao Tu asked as Ma Heng sipped his tea.

“Do you not like it?”, Ma Heng asked, and Gao Tu looked down, laughing to himself.

“I would've if this were a genuine visit and not a house call that Qingqing put you up to.”, Gao Tu looked right into his eyes. The words made Ma Heng flail a little. His face fell immediately, telling Gao Tu that he was right. Ma Heng placed the cup back on the table and sighed.

“ Do you ever use your brain Shen Wenlang? You couldn’t have told me about this before vanishing into thin air for two weeks. Not even a text? What is wrong with you?”, Gao Tu was fuming. Wenlang looked down while rubbing his sore bicep. Damn, Gao Tu can pack a punch.

“ I don't have your number.”, Wenlang said after a moment, and Gao Tu widened his eyes in disbelief.

“ We live next to each other!”, he shrieked.

“ True…”, Wenlang had no answer for that.
