me, also: why is my brain frantically showing me pictures of people drinking things?? the word for 'glass' is 'glaso'...

a good thing: my brain has Understood that “ergriefen” means “to seize”

a less-good thing: my brain remembers this by Insisting it actually means “TO SEIZE, TO DEVOUR, THAT IS TO SAY, TO ARREST”.

I haven’t decided whether I prefer the h-system or the x-system. on the one hand: h-system looks so much nicer imo, as an English-speaking person to whom ‘putting an h after a letter to change its sound’ seems Fairly Normal. on the other hand: you don’t put an h after the u for ŭ, which seems Wrong, whereas you do put an x after the u.
