Read this book today… always been one of my favorites and gives me chills each time. Finished it for the second time today… I’ve started reading it about four other times, but this is the first time I have finished reading it all the way through since around 1995. There gas always been a distraction or resistance to completing it. Or fear masked by disinterest. It may seem like a small thing to many, however this feels like a huge milestone for me. Like coming home. I know some of you will understand what I mean. 😌❤️ #TheAlchemist #ComingHome #SoulOfTheWorld #LanguageOfTheWorld #PersonalLegend #Maktub #SacredNomad (at Emerald Isle, North Carolina) https://www.instagram.com/p/Bpdi4M8n8Jm/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=16g2uxt2cw2rw

These two are my new Thai buddies, "Mr. Old 1 & 2!" I was famished and stumbled across this little coffee shop that also served Pad Thai, so I stopped. These two were sitting there drinking beer on ice. I asked for an order of Pad Thai. Peter's (Mr. Old 2) wife was at the market, but not to worry, he went down the street to get the food. The Mr. Olds invited me to sit and chat with them. 10 minutes later, we had Tom Yum Kung that set my mouth on fire and gave me hiccups, Yum Woon Sen, and the best Pad Thai I've had yet. They got me a glass of ice and poured me a Chang, and we all said, "Cheers!" and had our feast. I don't speak Thai, but I do speak human, and when Mr. Old 2's wife returned from the market, she was none too happy that he was indulging. So I took my cue and exited. They invited me back to hang out. I think I'll go again tomorrow. #chiangmai #languageoftheworld #souloftheworld (at Chiang Mai, Thailand)

It's nights like these, with feels and a nice buzz, that make hangovers worth it.
