Another day with my language partner
So my language partner TK is from South Korea and he is the most adorable boy I have ever met. Today he came to help out with our Korean class for the first time in a long time. It was so cute because I had a head ache and he kept whispering to me in class asking if I was ok and tried to get me to pay attention to the listening asingment we were supposed to be doing.
Later on we met up for the first time in two weeks. We usually see each other once a week and do some fun activity. Today we had planned to play frisbee because the wheather was so nice, but by the time we met up the heat was unbearable. When I asked him if he wanted to go somewhere indoors he replied that he had found a place that served milk ice fluff and boba tea. So that's what we did, got milk ice fluff and boba tea. I always have fun and can't help but smile when I'm around him. Today we were discussing our parents and how we fight over school and since we have gone to college are little hellions to our parents sometimes, when he turned to me and said:
"We are the same you and me. Even though we are different genders, even though we are from different countries, even though we have different skin colors, we are the same."
All this while smiling at me. I have to admit, that is probably the sweetest and kindest thing anyone has ever said to me. You should all hope to find a friend that will say something like this to you. If you have found them, hang onto them. If you haven't keep looking. He is a special kind of person and I am really going to miss him when we separate in about a week.
