yesss it is fantasy! it is set in medieval era adjacent and is about the sons and daughters of the current ruling kings as a civil war breaks out. I am absolute shit at summarizing it because it truly is complex (literally just ask @w1segirl or @rhaenyratargayen bc I won't shut up about my wip to them lol), but essentially there are six kingdoms in this domain all ruled peacefully. it centers on a daughter from one kingdom and a son from another who are cousins through her mother's marriage; the daughter, Cassandra, has prophetic visions of her cousin's kingdom being burnt to ashes, and when her uncle dies without a named her, she helps her cousin, Azrael, usurp the throne, effectively betraying her family but who cares! it all unravels and spins out of control from there
there's a lot of familiar betrayal, reluctant alliances, supernatural elements (kind of magical realism I think), epic fantasy inspired by history, you know the vibes. it is my current obsession and I will always talk about it HAHAH thanks for asking <3 im going to put my synopsis under the cut for funsies
