Burning World Bitty Typing
In my fics and posts, Bitties work a bit different than in the usual Bittybones aus.
If you've read my works on AO3, you know that bitties were made from scraping magic residue from where the barrier used to sit. This means that all legally obtained bitties are clones of actual monsters, but the illegal breeders do sell hybrids.
The barrier was holding not only monsters from the surface, but different monster types from each other, aka the AUs.
So! What does this mean for bitty types? Well, it means they're not gonna have names related to their full-sized monster counterparts, because the company that sells them doesn't want their customers knowing they've been cloned.
So they're sorted by appearance!
Bittybones are the most popular (because they're my favorites and I say so) but any other monster can have a bitty on the market. If people show any interest in my world I'll expand on that. There can also be human bitties but those are extremely rare.
In the Bittybones type there are two main catagories, Shorties and Lankies. Sanses and Papyruses.
Then, there are the personality types. Dozey and Tangie are the classics, Berry and Honey are the swaps, and those are the best selling brand name bittybones.
If a bittybones is a Sharp varient, that means it was bred illegally, and could be any one of the Fell bros. SF, FS, and regular UF fall into the Sharp category. Those are further sorted by magic color.
There are also Lamia, Leviathan, and Fuzzy types (think catboy)!
Then we get into the mixed breeds! These are my favorite.
A Shortie Crimson sharp berry would be a Wine bitty, a Dozey Crimson sharp would be like a "Cherry", while a Shortie Crimson Sharp would be like an "Edgie", etc!
Pretty much just mix and match characteristics and you get a new type, without needing names for every single variation.
