Spurned by German bureaucracy, I returned to my original idea: to find a sucker to teach me stuff and hopefully not have to break the bank doing it. Samrat generously took me under his wing, housed me, and gave me the opportunity to create a space around me for me alone, because after all music is in the spaces between the notes yadda yadda, I’ll save you the corniness. I’ve spent this past month learning basics of synthesis, some music theory, some stuff equally important but less easily categorised from someone that knows what they are doing, although the implication by no means being that I know what I am doing. At least, if I can get me to put in the grunt work — and holy schnikes grunt work is required — I can perhaps get closer to making music I want to. We’ll see. At any rate, if you have made it this far through my incessant chatting and are involved in making or facilitating the making of electronic music in any way, I have two pieces of overdue news to share: 1) I am Editorialising and writing over at FEMWAV.com, fka fembot5, a community set up to support trans women, cis women, and non-binary musicians in India and elsewhere. If you have something to say or share in this context, I would love to hear from you. 2) I have been quietly recommending and reviewing electronic music and performances that interest me over at Lanky Strum (@lankystrum). If you have music you’d like to share or recommend via it, lmk. This is already more long-winded than I intended for to be, but if you have any questions, DM me my dudes. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #femwav #lankystrum #feminisminindia #womeninart #womeninmusic #womxnartists #nonbinary #nonbinaryartists #electronicmusic #womenofmusic #cullera #nofilter #travelspain #lospueblosmasbonitosdeespaña #audiopervert (at Cullera) https://www.instagram.com/p/BzA55ehifh1/?igshid=cr0k6vuuewvi
