The way up from the town to the castle of Cullera (València area, Valencian Country).
The castle was originally built in the 9th century, during the Islamic period. It was kept in use for centuries after that, including after the conquest by the Christian kings of Catalonia-Aragon in the year 1240, because of its strategic location at the mouth of the Xúquer river and a natural crossroads. For this reason, the castle has been modified different times and doesn't look purely like it did in the 9th century anymore, adapting to new ways of doing war.
