Shadow had been staying with Kurt since she showed up at his door, dripping wet from swimming and freezing despite her fur. She had settled into a somewhat comfortable life with him and was slowly healing from her newly acquired scars, physically anyway. A month had passed and she still had nightmares every now and then, but they were going away bit by bit. Right now she was making herself some tea, up early as usually, wearing an oversized purple hoodie and some pj pants. She was trying not to wake Kurt.

Karin tries to teach Kurt as much ASL as he can do and for the rest they make up similar signs that he can do.

They jokingly call it KSL (Kurt Sign Language)

Danielle didn’t want to hear it. She didn’t want to hear any of it. She just wanted to be left alone. It was why she’d locked herself in like she had. Unless they had a teleporter no one was getting in and she could be left to stew over Erik’s betrayal in peace.

She sat up in her bed glaring at the wheelchair that was parked by her bed. It was a reminder that she was useless now, that the one thing she actually could do had been permanently taken from her. A knock at the door distracted her.

“Fuck off!” she snarled not interested in whatever ‘you’ll be fine’ they were selling.

Just imagine Moria being a super awesome wingwoman for Kurt once he's ready to start dating again.

Moira would be an AMAZING wingwoman. She will sing your praises and mean every word of it and will absolutely pull the “See my friend over there? He’s SUPER into ya an’ is the biggest sweetheart ever. He’s gonna kill me for doin’ this, but trust me, give him ten minutes of yer time, ya won’t regret it.”

She’d also weed out the douchebags pretty quick, nobody hurts her fuzzy friend.

Moira coughed into the back of her hand, blinking the settling dust out of her eyes.  “Elf?” she managed to croak out.  The debris made it difficult to make out where he was.  Too many shadows still settling in the rubble to distinguish the mutant.  “Here!” she called.  “Over here!”

I wouldn’t be opposed to artificial insemination, she replied nodding. I don’t really prefer one over the other, though it’d be a lot easier to do it that way than it would be to adopt.
