In which Emily fails at the computer once again
I received this ask (to which I embarrassingly answered privately after saying I'd publish it) from lanterntree asking this: Hello! I have a technical question about placing poems on the Tumblr site. When I cut and paste into a post from a pdf or doc, it does not reproduce. The line breaks and stanza breaks become messed up. Even when I type directly into the post, the preview erases the stanza breaks. I would love to be able to cut and paste the poems. Tricks? Forever grateful! (By some miracle, my phone saved this message even when my computer didn't, and so, here it is!) I wanted to publish it because I, myself, fail at anything computer related even when my father is a computer genius (In case you guys were wondering, technical genius is apparently far from hereditary). I save drafts on Word and on pen and paper, and when I type them onto Tumblr, I manually use the space-bar to get the spacing correct. I think I remember someone on here uses a /html code to retain the structure, but I cannot recall who it was. Additionally, I do not know if there is a trick to make life easier. If you guys could please help, it'd be appreciated! Sorry that I, myself, could not have a proper answer :P So, any tips?
