K sighed as he started his live, greeting his fans with a cheer. Comments started to flow in, some complimenting him on his recent win while other complimented him on his looks. He clicked on the icon to remove the comments so that he didn't see them on his main screen, rather following on his phone so that he could check when he wanted to. He waited for awhile until enough fans joined, answering some question until he reached 500,000 viewers (which took only 10 minutes or so). He put his phone down before connecting to the game, logging into his account and opening the online matches. He waited for a few minutes before starting. He was about halfway a match before he heard the front door open. He glanced up quickly, noticing how you walked in with a few bags. He then continued to play, not talking to you as you put the bags down. You were putting the stuff in the bags away into the freezers and cabinets before you looked at K. You noticed that he was playing, but didn't notice that he was streaming. So you did what you always did. You went up to him and softly kissed his cheek, greeting him lovingly. K froze, his character dying before glancing at you.
"What?" You stood up straight, looking at him in confusion. He pointed at the screen and you looked at the screen, now finally seeing the stream going. You quickly stepped out of the range of the webcam before glaring at him. He quickly muted himself, pausing the stream before quickly getting out of view as well.
"You could have given a sign!" You said and he sighed.
"Sorry, I thought you knew." He mumbled and you flicked his forehead.
"Just continue, I'll keep myself busy." You said and he nodded, walking back to his computer and continuing to play. He ignored the beeping from his phone from both his livestream and his teammates. Now he just had to brainstorm with a decent lie, so that you wouldn't be in the spotlight in a bad way.
He stayed live for an hour in total before he quit the live, dropping his head on the table in frustration. His phone had stopped ringing, but the door slammed open to reveal Si-Cheng. He marched to K, grabbing the back of his collar and pulling him to sit up.
"Answer your phone next time, please." He said to K, who just sighed.
"Rather not quarrel with management." K replied as he leaned his head back with closed eyes. Si-Cheng then glanced at you. You were sitting on the couch, awkwardly looking at K before looking away again.
"Sorry." You mumbled, so both men could hear you.
"Don't worry." K replied, turning in his chair to face you.
"Just a slip-up, it was bound to happen at some point." He continued as he got up, walking to you. He sat down and you slowly hugged him. He moved one of his arms to wrap around your shoulders.
"Stay here for awhile until this calms down." Si-Cheng called as he hung up the phone, putting his phone in his pocket.
"What did they say?" "Nothing much. Same as they said to me. Don't let it influence your performance." He said and K nodded.
"Okay, let's just ignore it then. Let's focus on the competition for now." K said, pulling away from you.
"I'm going to practice." He said, quickly kissing you before walking back to his computer. You smiled, getting your phone out before slamming it down.
"Uh, they found me..." You mumbled and both men looked at you in confusion.
"Social Media..." You pointed at your phone and K groaned loudly as Si-Cheng looked annoyed immediatley.
So for the rest of the day, your phone was completely off as you stayed with the team, sleeping in Tong Yao's room. You would stay in K's room, but he shared a room with Lao Mao so that was a bit difficult. Then again, Tong Yao was quite a help. She had gone through almost the same as you when her relationship with Si-Cheng was revealed. And it felt nice to have a girls night, it helped with ignoring your phone and problems. In the mean time, K was brainstorming on how to address it. He knew he was going to go live and defend you, but he needed to know how. He didn't want to address it, but the harassment you received was forcing him to act. His heart didn't let him ignore it. After about an hour, his brain had stopped working. So he decided to go down and eat something. As soon as he exited his room though, the smell of food entered his system. He quickly went downstairs before seeing your figure in the kitchen. He walked to you, hugging you from behind and putting his head on your shoulder.
"Hey! I'm cooking your favorite." You happily said, kissing his nose softly before continuing to cook. You heard a camera click and turned your head to see Lu Yue with his phone up.
"You're not getting food." You glared at him, pointing your spatula at him before continuing. K, however, turned to Lu Yue and signaled that he wanted the picture as well. Lu Yue gave an okay sign before quickly taking another and running off. K went back to hugging you as you cooked, hands already creeping underneath your shirt.
"Your hands are cold." "That's why there on you. You're warming me up." He mumbled and you sighed.
"Any clue about what to do?" You asked quietly, so nobody except for him could hear you, and he sighed.
"Not really. I might just say the truth, honestly." He answered and you nodded, replying with an okay as you turned off the fire.
"Cover your ears." You said and K let go off you, covering his ears in confusion.
"Dinner!" You basically screamed through the whole house, making K flinch at the loudness.
"Warned you." You shrugged as you put the food on the table before taking out plates and cutlery. K took a picture as you set the table before glancing at Si-Cheng, glancing at his phone again. He then opened his social media and clicked on the photo before adding a caption.
'I'm in love.'
Then he posted it, smiling before putting his phone away and helping you set the table as everyone gathered around. He wasn't going to bother with anything else.
His character in "Wonderland of Love" though... Liu Chengfeng is as ridiculous as the title of the drama. The writers took the yandere villain trope and turned it into a caricature. This one is beyond help, no amount of puppy eyes and pretty sobbing will change the fact that you are crazy in the face, not in a fun way. It's like "Becky let me smash" but with drugging and kidnapping. Not much to commiserate with you on.
Xiao Gao is really sweet by default, plus he couldn't probably slander his own character, he wrote a very sympathetic post and all.
But boy was this cdrama a torture to watch. And an insult to the viewers' IQ.
