i love this because im from the mishapocalypse generation of tumblr where you had at best one or two mutuals who WEREN'T into spn, at least a little
it's a fun feeling. i imagine its similar to how the x-files folks felt listening to me talk about spn, which is nice to think about. humans all the way down
iirc theres only one actual episode of spn that deals with fairies directly, thought there are others that deal with arguably fae-like creatures that they call by other names. and nothing in that episode really contradicts anything in laoft
really, they mesh pretty well - that 'grimy small town gothic with the vague sense the entire populace is staring at you in particular whenever youre not looking' vibe is shared by both
