ive been using a 10x10in cardboard loom but just bought an actual lap loom with a heddle ! is there anything i should know for when it arrives, or any guides i should watch being new to weaving ?

My first weaving attempt 😭
i made this weave thingy mostly to get back into weaving, and to try out some textures. my beloved partner hates it, so i’m gonna hang it somewhere he’ll have to look at it daily

I bought a lap loom!
I am so excited to try weaving again! I haven’t done it for years, but I am more than ready to make something artsy without feeling pressured to paint/draw/sculpt a masterpiece. Maybe this will get me out of this art-centered funk
