I’d binge watched the first four seasons in Feb/March 2014 and afterwards wondered if anyone else noticed what I had (Daryl and Carol… or as I soon learned “Caryl”).  Google led me straight to her amazing artwork on tumblr (actually it lead me to tumblr period) and the rest is history.  Anytime I’m feeling a little bit empty due to this crazy Caryl drought, I seek out her blog and am instantly transported back to those initial innocent feels.  It’s like I’m “tumblr young” again.  LOL.

Since I don’t want to repost, I’ll follow this up with some of my favorite reblogs.

This is all in Spanish but guide dog discrimination is a still something that we all unfortunately have to face worldwide.  Please share far and wide!  

Hearing this guy basically dismissing the guide dog handler makes my blood boil because it reminds me so much of the guide dog discrimination Zorro and I encountered in Sweden, sigh...The guide dog handler is polite and lets the owner know that if he doesn’t allow he and his friends to sit down, he will unfortunately have to file a lawsuit.  Unfazed, the owner/manager says that he will just say that they were closed and that’s that!  He also claims that he understands (which I hated hearing that same statement in Sweden - you have no idea what it’s like to be blind or what I’ve gone through) and then claims that his mother is blind.  After that, he says that his wife was bit by a dog just like the one the handler has, so he doesn’t want any problems and then refuses to give his name.

La Pasita in Puebla, Mexico thought they could get away with discrimination, but didn’t realize that we, the guide dog community, is far reaching and will not let this go without a fight!  

Wake up World, people with disabilities have money, have social media and are demanding respect, dignity and equal access!!
