good lapis:

trying her best to kill people cause she just wants to leave and not have them bother her or get in her way

ratting out the CGs in hopes that it’d get her in the diamonds’ good graces again

telling steven to not fight back because maybe they’ll go easy on them if they don’t try and defy anything jasp/peridot do

screaming “LET’S STAY ON THIS MISERABLE PLANET TOGETHER!” while dragging jasper (also screaming and trying to fight her way out of malachite) into the ocean

“you’re pointing that shield the wrong way - she’s the one you should be afraid of”

says fuck it and leaves everyone behind because she doesn’t want to be dragged into the war again

LAPIS is a HOMEWORLD SYMPATHIZER

i think it's truly amazing how lapis lazuli is a homeworld sympathizer who broke steven's father's leg, tried to murder steven's family and friends, and tried to kill him... then led the homeworld gems straight to earth and didn't seem all too concerned with the whole "steven's in danger" thing when he was on the ship and yet fandom still reveres her

like and i’m not saying we automatically have to frame jasper as being worthy of redemption because of the malachite ordeal because that’d be BORING and UNREALISTIC

i’m saying i want her redemption arc to at least BEGIN due to this event, like, she’s stuck here now, what is she gonna do

and i want to learn more about her before we make more judgements about her character cause she’s only been in three episodes

ask yourself what bad qualities does lapis have and what has she done that hasn't been framed as justified by her tragic backstory and/or steven's assertions of her justification
