IM NOT UPSET DONT WORRY I WAS JUST CONFUSED because it said “canon” thats what i thought im sry
((SOBS ITS FINE I HAD IT UNDER THERE AS CHARACTER FROM THE GAME I have slowly re arranged some of my relationship page which badly needs to be fixed /anyways/ but hopefully it's less confusing for you now aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah))
Had he not have someone he considered a friend here, he would've steered clear from Lumiose. Along the way, he flung large water shurikens to put out the flames in his way. He didn't feel comfortable with leaving his 'children' behind anywhere, and carried them along as he skillfully maneuvered the city under chaos.
He arrives to the building that was in surprisingly decent condition despite chunks of it crumbled away. Since a Frogadier he had the crazy ability to jump up very high, and he uses this amplified skill to reach the second floor of the building and scurry about in search of Sycamore. He can swear that he hears his voice and follows it. There is an overpowering stench of burnt everything and though he is a nocturnal creature who sees well in the dark, flickering electricity is disorienting. Still, he is persistent in search of another opening and Sycamore.
(If this is too incoherent to reply to lemme know)
Thanks to all that played with Roeman (180 followers)
(This post was originally longer but my pc shut down...)
He finally feels like the character he was always meant to be now. He has gone through a lot of hiccups and bad quirks (note how he no longer speaks like his earlier days), but he feels pretty ironed out now. When I kick-started Roeman's account, he was incredibly early in development; made of pure excitement and haste.
I've come to a lot of decisions I'll talk about now.
I went through a phase of: "Should he be wild from the start or wild from circumstantial separation." I decided on the latter because domestication and being raised by a human is why he has so many human-like tendencies(like hand shaking). Said tendencies that bewilders but intrigues the strangers he meets, making them wonder where he picked up such behavior and tastes (bunny bag). It also allows me to write about his decay in domestication in the wild with traits that persists because he can't help but to occasionally have human contact every now and then. It's a big facet to his character.
And speaking of his OT, I decided she is not the 'Serena', but was one of Serena's many friends who have helped against Team Flare. He still fought Yveltal due to a fallen teammate and Serena not having the appropriate types to do it all alone. I would prefer instead of worshiped super player character who swept hundreds of flare members alone, that it was a team effort with everyone, and canonically, the pals got ribbons so Roeman still has his ribbon (and phobia of large birds).
I also want to start building canons for him (So far there seems to be two. One with Kreiger and one with flammebrulant/lappeldelaflamme/salamandermarquess with oodles of aus because alternate realities are always fun. (It's also hard to potray him as an explorer/wanderer under a trainer's care. I.E Blue who has captured him for example).
He's meant to be a freelance sorta guy, but this does not make story lines where he is partnered with a human impossible.
I'm rambling at this point.
Really, though, thanks all! I really enjoy being in this community and creating story after story. Thread after thread. (:
At first, Diantha could not bring herself to believe her eyes.
When the sole of her heels are met with rubble and debris instead of what should have been a smoothly paved boulevard bustling with city life, when the images of fallen Pokémon and humans alike litter the once pristine, clean streets of Lumiose, rage began to fill her pure heart from deep within.
Tears threatened to spill over pale cheeks. But now was hardly the time to cry -- now was time to take action before things got worse. With a slow intake of air, Diantha managed to control herself. Taking care of the raging dragons that had flown overhead not too long ago was of highest priority. To let them spread even more damage and destruction was simply unacceptable.
Her Pokéballs rustled nervously within her purse, having sensed their trainer's abnormal amounts of discomfort and anger. Trembling fingers reached in to draw out her Gardevoir, who gracefully bowed before her when summoned. The Pokémon doesn't even spare the burning city a glance. She already knows. A soft, sad croon echoes from the Psychic type's mouth in worry, and Diantha offered a firm smile before leaning down to touch their foreheads together.
"Ysabel, you must help me."
It nodded without hesitation. A lithe arm reached up to touch her trainer's pallid cheek in reassurance. Gardevoir could sense the immense fear behind Diantha's act of strength. It couldn't be easy to witness one's birthplace go down in ruins right as it was happening. Ysabel knew she would feel the same if anything happened to Diantha.
Today had been planned to be productive: in the morning after a photo shoot in Coumarine, the actress was scheduled to film a commercial back in Lumiose to promote her upcoming movie. Upon her arrival, minutes before the attack, she had been discussing the matters of returning to the Battle Chateau with her producers when all too suddenly, the first attack had struck the building next to them.
Chaos had ensued shortly after. Her safety was prioritized and was evacuated out first with a team of coordinators and managers, but Diantha did not stand for such treatments when everyone's lives were at stake. Despite her manager's protests, Diantha had gone back into the burning building to help evacuate the injured.
Now, surrounded by the constant screams and wails of her people, the actress searched for the perpetrators. Eyes steeled with resolve, Diantha moved forward with Ysabel at her side.
It didn't take the Psychic type long to locate one of the four possessed dragons storming about. Ysabel bristled in anger at the sight of Garchomp dropping the lifeless form of a young Espurr that had fallen victim as if it were of no use to it. A hand to her neck stops the Pokémon from attacking the dragon on instinct.
The former Kalos Champion composed herself. If she wanted peace and order to be restored in her beloved city, then she would just have to get to the root of things one step at a time. She noticed the Garchomp had already undergone Mega-Evolution. What in Arceus' name happened, Augustine?
"No matter. We will do the same." A touch to her necklace that held the Mega ring synchronized both trainer and Pokémon's hearts. Power surged around the concentrating Gardevoir with ease. A blast of energy helped the creature evolve into her ultimate form, enveloped in grace and beauty. A glance to her trainer signaled that she was ready. Diantha nodded back.
Finally, after some research and looooong hours traveling, Archie had made it to the Kalos region. He remembered talking with a professor that reigned from here--a Professor...Sycamore, if he remembered correctly. Wanting to see new regions, he finally decided to head out, gathering a few Poke'mon to take with him--one Walrein, Surskit, Mightyena, Crobat, and Sharpedo. Surely they would enjoy the new region, too.
...If it wasn't pouring down rain.
Archie had arrived at Lumiose City a bit later than he would've liked. While he wanted to find the professor, remembering him mentioning booking him a hotel, he didn't know if he would even be out this late. Knowing he could bunker down at the Poke'mon Center, Archie started heading there...
...If he could find the damned building.
"Don't tell me the Poke'mon Centers look different here..." he grumbled, feeling himself (and his bags) getting soaked. He felt like he was walking around in circles...just what kind of city was Lumiose?!
Spotting practically no one on the streets, Archie was about to give up, before finally spotting someone. As if they just appeared out of thin air. Maybe they could help him! Grinning, he ran for the man, slowly down to a fast walk, not wanting to startle him by having a large Hoennese man running towards him.
"Excuse me!" he called out, attempting to wave him down. Though something told him in the back of his mind that he'd seen this man before. He surely looked familiar, the closer he got to him...
