I have decided that today, July 12, is the day the guys are married.

The Large Boyfriends are now officially the Large Husbands.

Odion likes being little spoon. I mean, he also likes being big spoon so he can hold his loved one close, but he likes being little spoon because it’s nice to feel treasured and safe. After a lifetime of self-sacrifice, sometimes a man just needs to be cuddled.

Raph can braid hair because his sister and his childhood friend Alyssandra both had long hair growing up. He saw his mother Élise braiding Sonia’s hair one day and wanted to try it.

Once Odie grows out his hair long enough, Raph will sometimes braid it in their downtime.

He’d do it for Maiya too if her hair was long enough.

Day one of living together + large boyfriends

Send me a prompt and a character or ship and I’ll write a Drabble based on what’s sent in.

I think that, for a nice little challenge (and also because I was having trouble at first with the prompt), I’m going to actually make this drabble length. A lot of people don’t know this, but a drabble is meant to be 100 words, but now most people just call any fic that’s somewhere around 500-1000 words. There is a small challenge in getting the story across while being restricted to 100 words, but I think it’s fun.

They’d spent the day unpacking, and when they climbed intobed for the night, both felt tired, but content. They’d shared a bed everynight since their first night together, but having a place to call their ownmade everything feel official.

Odion had fallen asleep first. Watching his beloved’ssleeping form, Raphael smiled tiredly, feeling the way he had their first weektogether—excited, yet at peace at the same time. Odion sighed quietly in hissleep, and Raphael felt a surge of affection run through him. He laid an arm aroundhim, then closed his eyes for sleep.

Get to know my character

24. In their own words, how would your character describe what their lover is like?

Kind and patient. Very soothing to be around.

32. If your character’s lover offered to take them out on a dream date, what would they want to do?

He’s really not hard to impress when it comes to this stuff. And given that his husbando is the same, he’d be just fine with going to a quiet, classy restaurant, or a moonlit walk near the water. Hell, a nighttime picnic on the beach would work.

@theinfinitelyclassyoctopus Back again with some Large Boyfriends, in a sequel to the last one! Takes place immediately after the last one. Well, maybe not immediately, as in a second later. More like 10-15 minutes later or something. There’s some extra pillow talk and lazing around left out.

Fluff. That’s all I can say. Fluff.

Oh, and some ogling, but overall a fluffy piece. 

Raphael sits up in bed, the sheet sliding down his stomach to pool at his lap. Odion looks up at him, his moves slow and relaxed, and he smiles. Raphael returns the smile, and it fills Odion with a comforting warmth to be able to see his love smile at him like this again. 

Raphael leans down, pressing a kiss onto Odion’s temple. “I’m going to take a shower,” he murmurs. “You’re free to join me.”

Odion watches Raphael leave the bed. It’s tempting to wrap his arms around Raphael’s waist and pull him back, but he’s too distracted to make a move to do so, watching the remainder of the sheet slip off Raphael’s skin as he stands up. With nothing left to cover him, Raphael looks at Odion over his shoulder, flashes him a suggestive smirk, then heads for the door.

Odion watches dazedly, because Raphael is still a sight to see after all these years. He belatedly realizes that the other man isn’t stopping to see if he’s following, which shakes him out of his trance. Grinning sheepishly, Odion clambers out of bed and follows after Raphael, taking large, bounding steps, avoiding discarded clothes on the floor, until the distance between the two of them is closed. Raphael chuckles at Odion’s hastiness, and he looks at him over his shoulder. “Glad you decided to take me up on my offer.”

He enters the bathroom, flipping the light on, and Odion follows. While Raphael starts the water and adjusts it for temperature, Odion spots the shower caddy, stocked with hair product and Raphael’s favorite brand of shower gel. Odion smiles, realizing that he no longer has to be content with reminiscing whenever he catches a glance at the bottle, not when he’s free to pour some of said gel in his hands and wash Raphael’s back.

Satisfied with the temperature, Raphael turns and looks at him. With a lazy sweep of his hand, he beckons for him to join him. Odion unties his hair, then gives it a nice shake while Raphael steps in, dipping his head underneath the showerhead to wet his hair. Odion enters after him, pulling the shower curtain closed, then steps closer to him til there is little space between them.

Unable to hold back any longer, Odion throws his arms around Raphael--well, he does as best as he can in the somewhat enclosed space--and he rests his head on his shoulder, head turned away from the spray of water. Smiling, he closes his eyes as Raphael straightens to remove his head from the stream. Raphael exhales slowly, sounding as content as Odion feels.

“Here--” he murmurs, shifting a little in Odion’s embrace. “Let me just--”

Odion realizes that Raphael wants to turn around, and he pulls back with only a shred of reluctance, because it’s been a long time since he’s been able to hold him. He lets go, then takes a step back as Raphael turns around so they’re facing each other. Raphael stares at him in silence for a moment, reaching out and running his fingers through Odion’s hair. “I remember all the different ways I’ve seen you wear your hair,” he says, holding a portion between his index and middle finger. “And I always thought you were beautiful, regardless. But this suits you.”

Odion can feel his face warming up. Coupled with the steam filling up the room, he feels even warmer. A small chuckle leaves him, and he all but face plants into Raphael’s chest in response, his shaky arms wrapping around Raphael’s midsection. He still doesn’t know how to take a compliment, and he supposes that twenty-five years of playing servant and protector has something to do with it. Then there’s the matter of the two of them having just rekindled an intimate relationship between them; the excitement and bliss he feels at this new development has his emotions on the extreme side as a result. If Maiya were to pay him such a high compliment, he’d feel a little bashful, but he wouldn’t be diving into her cleavage--though she probably wouldn’t mind that, he realizes with a smile.

He pulls back to look Raphael in the eye, his arms sliding down Raphael’s water slicked skin to his waist. “Erm... Th-thank you,” he chuckles nervously, his face still aflame. “Thank you.”

Raphael chuckles, loosely draping his arms around Odion’s neck. “This feels good,” he comments in that smooth baritone of his. “I’ve missed being able to hold you.”

“I’ve missed it, too,” Odion replies, his voice quieter and softer. “It’s been difficult, these last few months.”

“I know,” Raphael says through a sigh. “But I intend to make up for it.”

Odion smiles at Raphael, with a warmth and degree of affection he hadn’t allowed himself to show for quite some time around the other man. “That’s good,” he says, hands traveling up Raphael’s back and around his sides to rest on his chest. “Because I do, too.”

Raphael smiles at him, then pulls him closer for a kiss that starts out gentle, but becomes more impassioned with time. Raphael suddenly pulls away, grins wildly at him. Panting, Odion looks at Raphael for a few moments, then lays his head on his love’s shoulder, chuckling softly.

“Here,” Raphael says, slowly moving them in the direction of the shampoo. “Let me wash your hair.”

Odion looks up and grins at Raphael, letting him go so he can move more freely. There is plenty of time to hold him after their shower. “Only if you’ll let me wash your back.”

Raphael chuckles, grabbing the shampoo bottle. “It’s a deal.”
