Phil Dormont | Dripping Springs, Texas | May 2020 | Phil is a dear friend of Alec’s who is a head distiller, outdoors enthusiast, and within a few short days of getting to know him, one of the more whimsical and charismatic people I’ve met. We stayed at his parent’s ranch in the hill country this past May while I was out working on a shoot in the area, and so I had to get a portrait of him before we left. Some folks you meet are hard to describe and almost enigmatic, and I count that as a very good thing for this wonderful person.

After a hiatus I’ve started shooting portraits again for my project “We are Racers”

I have also been steadily documenting the race paddocks on film to create a broader body of work around the project.
