Posted @withregram • @vanderlaandthebarnyardzoo Barnyard back story #7 A very large sheep named Bumper Bumper came to the farm July 2019 . He is a fixed male which is called a wether . He is a very big sheep so a meat breed. If a male sheep isn’t used for breeding than their purpose is to go for meat. Not many are able to be pets. I believe all animals have to have a purpose some are to be breeding animals some are used for meat and some lucky ones get to live out their lifes in a petting zoo. Now I don’t Cruise kijiji or farm ads so my friend told me about Bumper and said he would be prefect for the petting zoo. So she forwarded the ad to me and I contacted Bumpers owner about him. They were moving from the farm and just wanted a home for Bumper where he would’ve end up being eaten. Bumper really is a kind gentle sole and we are happy to provide him with a home . * those stories have been fun to do. Not all animals that live here at the farm have a story. But all the ones that do I will continue sharing them. Also I am only going by what I have been told. Hard to fact check any. I don’t pretend to be a rescue we are NOT. But some animals have found their way here because they had no way else to go and needed a safe place to call home.
