In contrast with my last post, smallest paintings, today I’m sharing my largest painting to date. Big surprise, it’s a tree. I do love to paint trees. This is a mural in my son’s room. I painted it about 11 years ago and I’ve asked him if he would like to paint over it but he’s always said no, he likes it. So now he’s a teenager but still likes it, for the meantime at least. I remember painting it very vividly. I painted the background sky with an airbrush. I sketched the large tree and went at it, no fear. It takes up two walls. It took me a few days to complete it. My mom came over for a few hours at a time and babysat my son while I painted. I look at it everyday and wonder how long it will remain. It has stayed true to color. That green recliner in there was the rocker I would rock him to sleep in... sweet memories 💕 I made the curtains as well. My husband built the bed, he does wood working. Time sure does fly. Today’s post is part of #21daysinmyartworld and the prompt is Largest Painting. #jaimehaneyart #largestpainting (at New Harmony, Indiana) https://www.instagram.com/p/B8kTMhuJJcB/?igshid=myj230rlsmrl
