MC is so real for not being able to stay away for Max to the point they couldn’t fathom being with anyone else until this point 4 years later. But tbh I feel like Max was VERY similar.

Also SO interested in the text exchange when Max said they’d call and MC agreed what the call was about 👀👀 and the moment of vulnerability they had talking bout the work stuff and his VERY alarming thought process (which we knew the Tendencies from the first POV andddd of course Elliot’s talk) put out there in writing just broke my heart. They’re a beautiful disaster bastard human but Max wanting to talk with MC/MC being the person they thought of when they were hurting uGH.

The ending was also DIABOLICAL. You’re evil for that.. they could be married to MC for 20 years and Max will still be bringing it up. Also because I love chaos I think as a treat/revenge Max should be able to return the favor 🤗

Hehehe. Might wanna keep an eye on the next Max POV. 😎

I need a detailed psychological evaluation of Max why max was crying during smexy time

Hoooo boy. *rolls sleeves* here we go.

Max grew up with extremely fucked up boundaries around sex. Lexi basically conditioned them to associate sex with power, secrets, and games. So for most of their life, sex has been the only language Max really understood for "connection". Sex is how Max speaks, basically. MC is a catalyst that completely breaks apart this system. For the first time, someone doesn't meet them in that language, and they challenge it. MC forces Max to confront what sex has meant in their life, what they've done with it, and the damage it can cause when it's the only way they know how to connect. That's why being with MC is so destabilizing. It's not just "attraction". It's the collapse of the only emotional framework Max ever had. So during sex with MC, a few things hit them at the same time. That they are falling for MC, they know they have hurt MC, they know they don't deserve the affection that they are getting, and that this is probably the only time they'll ever have anything like this again and it's a goodbye.

Underneath all the control and cynicism, Max is actually a very sentimental, and emotional person. It takes a huge amount of effort for them to keep those feelings contained. So, naturally, with everything crashing down at once, that control slips. It's like a very involuntary, quick moment of accidental vulnerability that'll probably be gone as fast as it appears. I hope this was clear! :>

We've got two new LIs coming in, and they're both different shades of a mess. One's on the older side, the other's on the famous side, and both of them are wearing paper-thin masks. 😉
