SO @and-then-sara said to do ALL THE OCs then graciously turned it to just an OC of my choosing <3 So will do it for TWO OCs this round!
Larsigan and Infarias! <3
LARSIGAN, Emperor of the Logelese, Guardian of Spirit
1. What position does your character sleep in? ( i.e; stomach, side, back, etc. ) Describe why they do this – optional.
Larsigan prefers to sleep on his side, specifically the right side but it can change depending. He likes to keep his back to a wall and just so happens sleeping on his right side at home, his back is to the wall. Old habits die hard and also more comfortable body pillows can be set up.
2. Does your character have any noteworthy features? Freckles? Dimples? A scar somewhere unusual? etc.
He has a lot of scars, the biggest one on the left side of his face that was earned long ago in the battle against the sundering, a scar given to him by one of the Seraphim. His entire body though has scars from countless wars through the millennium he has taken part in.
3. Does your character have an accent? What does it sound like?
He does and if I had to describe it, probably a Sichuan Chinese accent as the Logelese language in my head has a similiar structure. Specifically Sichuan though! They speak a slightly different version of Chinese and I am most familiar with the sound of Sichuan hua more than standard Chinese XD;
4. Do they have any verbal tics? Do they have trouble pronouncing certain words or getting their thoughts across clearly?
Sometimes there is a slight language barrier although at his age, he can pronounce most words just find. Words with a “TH” ish sound are a problem and the “SH” sound just really hates and tends to just make it an “s” or “z” sound. Sometimes his word choice can be a bit odd in the common tongue as sometimes the Logelese equivalent doesn’t translate well.
5. What are their chief tension areas?
His neck and back mostly but typically keeps himself pretty limber with meditation and rigorous training in the evenings and slower martial arts in the morning.
6. If you were to pick one song – and only one song – to describe your character, what would it be and why?
Up,Up, Up, by Mast because it has a really surreal sounding beat and the music video features a lovely Butoh dance which is a guilty pleasure of mine. That sort of haunting melody that I feel he would enjoy c:
7. How does your character perceive themselves? Positive? Negative? Neutral?
His perception is defianlty mixed! Although in terms of his leadership abilities and many of his skills, he sees himself in a positive light, in his more personal life, it is much more negative and he has a hard time trusting others. Given his rank, few people actually interact with him other than for personal gain so tends to make him feel his personality is not desirable.
8. Are they a quick thinker or do they need time to sort through their thoughts?
More a sort their own thoughts out. They have been around for a long time and tend to try to look at the bigger picture before they act, weight the consequences and figure out the best choice of action to take.
9. Does your character dream or are their nights filled with an empty blackness? Describe a dream they’ve had or a night they couldn’t sleep and what they did to preoccupy their time.
He dreams and most of his dreams are rather peaceful and generic to be honest. His favorite ones though are those where his wife and child are still alive, like reliving old memories in the night.
10. If they had a choice, would they prefer a subway or a bus for public transportation? They are a bus sort of person. Takes longer and have a nice view. Not to mention not as expensive so saving money!
11. What do they think of creation? Do they believe in evolution or do they believe in God? What is their religion like?
Hooooo boy. Larsigan IS a god! The guardian of spirit, the one who makes sure the Logelese repopulate from the earth every year from the shards of broken and dead gods that have fallen in other realities.
His faith is more or less worship of a figure called the First Ascended and passing on their teachings from generation to generation, becoming a religious leader for his people more than anything. He believes though in evolution, given how long he’s lived, he’s seen it first hand, but believes there is sometimes a divine or driving force behind the process, a sense of creative energy that can be predicted. Really believes in being able to predict the future.
12. Describe 5 unusual characteristics your muse has.
1. A Hopeless Romantic: Despite a cold, glacier-like exterior, he is a rather romantic personality, wanting a partner to spend time with for the rest of his life once more and to just, in general, feel wanted, loved, and this person doubles as platonic partner and friend.
2. Empathetic: Again, he comes off as cold, but he is actually empathetic which makes him a good leader. He listens to what others say, lets them speak their piece, asks about their well-being and tends to put aside his own to focus on their pain. Yet this should not be confused with compassion! He might take the time to understand your side, but ultimately, he will always make calls that benefit the whole.
3. Selfish: Has a lot of money and riches, so many he could sleep in a tank of it and doesn’t like to spend it because he is a bit selfish and likes to horde things he sees as his and doesn’t like to loan people things out of a fear of not getting things back. Even with partners, he can be a bit reluctant to share certain things.
4. Lazy: He is a busy body and all, but a lot of his “work” is just him goofing off with hobbies and putting things off because his pace of living tends to be slower than everyone else. Given his age, he tends to put things off for another day as it isn’t something to do at the moment and better for a rainy day, much to annoyance of some individuals.
5. Mischievous; He likes to play phantom a lot, pulling small little ghostly pranks on people at times and acting like it isn’t anything special, blaming it on “ghosts” while keeping a poker face. He can mess with you when he likes you.
13. Have they ever been so overwhelmed they had to stop and take a break from something?
A few times yes, mostly things that are far too close to home emotional and start to cause him to become riled up more so. He likes to keep his emotions calm and out of his choices the best he can in order to make sure the choices he makes are not as colored by personal feelings as they could be.
14. Are they a team player or do they prefer to be solo?
Depends. At times they can be a team player, playing a support role despite their power and more or less watching and adding insight here or there, but has a solo streak as well where he can handle things on his own without getting others involved.
15. Can they multi-task or must they focus on one subject at a time?
Can multi-task very well given he has invisible ghost hands that can handle things while he works. He tends to be doing more than one task at at time as he finds it easier to work with more than one thing to do.
16. What are their best school subjects? What are their worst? List five of each.
Best Subjects: History, Math, Writing, Gym, and Dance
Worse Subjects: Drawing, Science (more because he could care less...), anything musical related, Health (your health methods are BS >8I), and probably any class heavy on oral speaking in common tongue XD
17. Is your character an introvert or an extrovert? How do they handle big crowds of people?
Introvert, but can deal with crowds. Mostly plans when he will be in big crowds in advanced if he can and mentally prepares himself to put on a mask and handle things one step at a time, so typically pretty good with crowds :)
18. Are they a leader, do they prefer to follow, or would they rather just stay on the sidelines altogether? He’s been a leader of his people since the practical dawn of time so is very much a leader, but in recent time with the younger generations coming up, he’s being forcible side-lined, causing increased friction and starting to rile his temper more and more.
19. If your character was suddenly challenged, would they rather run away or stay and fight?
Depends on who was doing the challenging and what there was at state. If it was a rather important affair, he would fight but if it was some upstart trying to look for glory, thinking they could actually take him on, he would just roll his eyes and walk away. He has better things to do.
20. If your character was allowed to murder one person without any consequences, who would that person be and why?
Infarias due to the fact Infarias killed his wife and daughter. Although he doesn’t actively seek revenge, waiting for Infarias to mess up on his own, if he had the chance to kill the bastard with no backlash, he would do it in the heartbeat.
21. Your character has been granted 3 wishes; what would they wish for and why?
1. He would wish for another partner whom he could trust and love. He’s a romantic as stated above. Would prefer if his wife was back.
2. More kids! He had only one daughter and raised his grandson but he wants to hear the pitter patter of little feet..and also doesn’t want to donate the baby stuff he has to other couples because it is his and it has special memories .
3. Have his people safe from all harm. He cares a lot of about his people aboe all else and he feels genuine love and affection for every single one even if some of them get on his nerves. He would do his best to help any number of them.
22. Does your character trust people right off the bat or does it take them some time to warm up to someone?
Takes a lot of time for him to warm-up to people but once he trusts you and sees you as a friend, he more or less keeps you close and watches out for your well-being but break that trust...and you probably will never get it back.
23. Do they prefer romance or affection? What is the quickest way to your character’s heart?
They want a romance as affection, to them, is rather bland, dull, and has no real meat. Like sugar. The best way to his heart is to be a good listener, but to also have needs he can fulfill and provide. A very give and take relationship where there is equal standing. Someone who is a best friend just as much as a lover whom he can just be himself with. Sometimes this desperation for that connection can lead him to toxic relationships with people who don’t have the best interest for him, a fact he knows, but pushes aside as he just wants to lap up that feeling of pretending, at least, they care.
Would prefer someone who actually did care though.
24. Does your character have any enemies? If so, who and why?
Has plenty as a political figure. Most though are long since dead and in the grave. He tends to outlast them and claims it is because he isn’t as petty as they were.
25. Do they have any weird bedroom habits? Any unusual kinks?
He is a bit of a voyeur and loves when his partner talks dirty although he is incapable of doing so and becomes flustered. He needs a partner that can be domineering at times when he is in mortal form....
But he LOVES to go to his monstrous true form for a lot more fun and anyone who has a kinky monster side, he is more than willing to indulge if he thinks they can handle it and he feels that the emotional level of commitment is the same.
26. How does your character prepare for bed? Do they sleep at all or can they stay awake for days on end without trouble?
First change into comfortable pajamas, then make tea, drink tea and read in bed then go to sleep. On clear nights though he stays up to stargaze and make star maps so tends to go to sleep late but can stay up a few nights in a row. Tends to be more a nap sort of fellow.
27. If your character had one thing to say to their parents before they died, what would it be?
Given he had no parents, wouldn’t have much to say to them. His mentor, the first ascended though, he would have many words to say, like he was sorry he didn’t live up to expectations and would beat himself up about a lot of things.
28. Are they afraid of death? Do they have any regrets?
He is not afraid of death, no, but more afraid of what could happen if he died to his people. He has been around so long, he’s sort of become a permanent fixture and has a presence that can’t be easily replaced. He has many regrets, but he keeps himself alive so one of those regrets will not be leaving his people to an uncertain future in the vacuum of power his death would bring.
29. Does your character get restless when things are too quiet or do they favour solitude and silence? Why?
He likes the silence and is comfortable with it. He would say the world is never truly entirely quiet, that there is always something to muse upon and understand, something to listen to be it the fall of rain or the soft chirr of insects. Not one to get restless at all.
30. Finally; if your character was forced to eat one thing for the rest of their life, what would they choose and why?
It would be tea. Tea is life. Tea is everything. He adores tea and drinks it all the time and he could give up everything but not his tea.
INFARIAS, The Betrayer, The General of Death, The Guy Who Ruins Everything
1. What position does your character sleep in? ( i.e; stomach, side, back, etc. ) Describe why they do this – optional.
On his back, sprawled out, taking up as much space as possible because all the bed is his and you cannot have it. Why? Like I said. Where he sleeps, it is all his so must take up all the room.
2. Does your character have any noteworthy features? Freckles? Dimples? A scar somewhere unusual? etc.
Has a lot of scars because he likes to fight and get into scraps. Has a nice tattoo on his back of skulls and snakes. A tramp stamp because he likes to be super trampy. Also probably some gag tattoo he got that is like on his inner thigh that he likes to show people to make some sort of joke.
3. Does your character have an accent? What does it sound like?
Hmm, in the common tongue, I think he lost his accent long ago as he doesn’t speak his native tongue much anymore. Very articulated speech though I would say, just a small rumble of an accent at time but nothing too obvious.
4. Do they have any verbal tics? Do they have trouble pronouncing certain words or getting their thoughts across clearly?
Just tends to be easily distracted at times and go off on tangents, say whatever is in his mind. Actually he has trouble reading so has everything spoken out loud so he can figure things out. Reading in common I should say. He reads fine in his own native language so tends to still use that writing system to an extent.
5. What are their chief tension areas?
Tends to be in his legs, particular the hip area where the leg connects. Join pains from carrying that heavy armor around. Sometimes why he might limp a bit after a long battle.
6. If you were to pick one song – and only one song – to describe your character, what would it be and why?
30 Seconds to Mars- Night of the Hunter
Captures the different dimensions he has as the violent bastard but a product of those people around him c:
7. How does your character perceive themselves? Positive? Negative? Neutral?
Always positive. He is 100% on his high horse and can do no wrong. He is amazing and full of self confidence. He pities those who are not as awesome and confident as him.
8. Are they a quick thinker or do they need time to sort through their thoughts?
A quick thinker and impulsive as heck however he can think pretty far ahead on his feet to a scary degree. He’s got a mastermind behind that violent side!
9. Does your character dream or are their nights filled with an empty blackness?
He dreams but most of his dreams are just non-sequential sorts of things he doesn’t remember when he wakes up. He likes the naught dreams the most c:
10. If they had a choice, would they prefer a subway or a bus for public transportation? Subway! Faster and he can push people out of the way in the crowds and awkwardly scare everyone on the car c: Buses are too slow.
11. What do they think of creation? Do they believe in evolution or do they believe in God? What is their religion like?
Rip apart your gods and rise to become them! He is a god of death, ripping apart souls, believing in no afterlife and only in the pursuit of power and anarchy, to become free of all the cords of destiny and become the creator and push all evolution before him!
12. Describe 5 unusual characteristics your muse has.
1. Self-Doubt: What? He doubts himself!? NEVER.....maybe a little. When he is alone to his own thoughts and has no one around to play off of, he sort of is confronted with the fact his personality is made off the fears of others and who he was has been completely lost to a point. So sometimes he has those self-doubts in terms of who he is which is why he tends to always keep company.
2. Honest: If he likes you and sees you as someone to keep around, he will be loyal and keep to his word. He does what he says he will do, even if he will do it his own way, and never has broken a promise in his life. He can talk around the truth, but he actually rarely outright lies.
3. Sense of Humor: He can appreciate jokes and really likes a good laugh. Can make light of any situation which can boost moral of troops but knows when a bit of humor is unnecessary at times. Had a rather dark sense of humor though and happiness at the misfortune of others is still the greatest thrill.
4. Uncertain: He does try at times to be actually not so evil and horrible, especially concerning Hiades, however his perchance for violence and the thrills and chills of it, the warped persona he has adopted as who he is, he doesn’t often actually get the chance to really understand what to do. He can be a loving father, but horrendously abusive. Tries to do things with Haides and actually bonds with him, then is screaming at him the next. Haides himself is rather conflicted due to this, seeing his father as both caring at times, but terrified of the brutal nature he unleashes.
5. Artistic: Infarias likes to make pottery and work with his hands on the potter’s wheel and is one of the few times he is engaged with his hands, making art rather than destroying lives. It is when he feels at the most peace and ease and his goal, once he has obtained his freedom undeniably, is to retire to start a pottery shop. Surprising to know, no?
13. Have they ever been so overwhelmed they had to stop and take a break from something? Usually if he gets overwhelmed he just gets more enraged and attacks whatever caused it until it stops moving. That’s how he do.
14. Are they a team player or do they prefer to be solo?
Bring a team but go solo while using team as meat shields because he finds this amusing more than anything. Or go with the team and just watch them get wiped and laugh.
15. Can they multi-task or must they focus on one subject at a time?
Tends to focus on one task at a time although he can multi-task. Doesn’t like to though. That is what undead minions are for!
16. What are their best school subjects? What are their worst? List five of each.
Best Subjects: Gym, Chorus (he appreciates good music!), and home ec because a class where he has to pretend to raise a plastic baby like his own child, taking pictures of it in dangerous situations to send to the teacher and still get a perfect grade is the best class EVER.
Worse Subjects: Everything else because he does not apply himself and probably murdered the teacher because they were boring and did not teach it how he wanted.
17. Is your character an introvert or an extrovert? How do they handle big crowds of people?
He is an extrovert and the kind that has a big personality that just fills up the room. When he is in a good mood, crowds just seem to liven up and the party can really get going but when he is upset, he can suck the life out of a room. Handles crowds easily and has no problem about them.
18. Are they a leader, do they prefer to follow, or would they rather just stay on the sidelines altogether?
He is a leader and will not follow anyone and will not stand on the sidelines. He will lead even when people don’t want him to lead. He just kills everyone who disagrees or is in his way. He can play the loyal minion, but always know he does it so he has some “position” to aspire to to keep himself motivated!
19. If your character was suddenly challenged, would they rather run away or stay and fight?
Always fight. Always, always fight until the person is a smoldering hunk of bone or smear of blood. He loves to fight and he loves to get violent. Very much a “fight me!” personality.
20. If your character was allowed to murder one person without any consequences, who would that person be and why?
God, he has to CHOOSE? He can’t pick just one! Besides murdering people without consequences is pretty much is day job so this is not something special for him so, instead, I’ll just say the one person he would NEVER murder!
He would never murder Haides. He loves his son in a strange way. Hitting him is okay though.
21. Your character has been granted 3 wishes; what would they wish for and why?
1. Ultimate freedom, unbound and unchecked to do what he wants. That is what he wants more than anything and other than that, he is pretty happy with life.
2. Haides grows up to be just like him, powerful, strong, and capable.
3. He does’t know....endless supply of wine or the power to make it rain wine at will? that would be pretty cool....
22. Does your character trust people right off the bat or does it take them some time to warm up to someone?
Never trusts anyone and you are never disappointed! Infarias has friends but he doesn’t trust them. Doesn’t give trust to anyone. Not now, not never. He trusts Haides but Haides is the only kin he has and Haides would never speak ill of Infarias, that he is sure of.
23. Do they prefer romance or affection? What is the quickest way to your character’s heart?
Getting to Infarias’s heart...that is very hard to do. He is not one to care for romance or affection. I don’t want to say entirely aromantic, maybe demiromantic? I don’t think there is really a “category” he fits nice and neat into in that sense. Still it would be a slow road and it has to be someone strong enough to stand up to him, but not to the point of challenging his authority or threatening his freedom. Someone who wants just as much freedom as him and willing to work with and at times, against, to get it. He needs the challenge as well as the support. Got to be a strong, confident character in who they are, that is for sure!
Otherwise, you aren’t getting close to his heart. Being overly violent is just amusing to him and doesn’t see it as “endearing” without other parts involved.
24. Does your character have any enemies? If so, who and why?
There is a long, long, long, long line of people waiting for a crack at Infarias. Why? Have I mentioned he is an evil son of a bitch that ruins lives for fun, kicks puppies, and is an irredeemable piece of trash? c:
25. Do they have any weird bedroom habits? Any unusual kinks?
.... sometimes kills partners that were not up to standard/were trying to get too gushy when he was saying he wasn’t in the mood. Not a kink, but a habit to be aware of.
His biggest kink is humiliation and control of his partner, especially when they are putting up a hell o a fight. Just gets him really going but when the consent is there. He doesn’t take people without a clear consent, mostly because he doesn’t get a thrill from that sort of force, probably because he knew he could so it is more a challenge to get the person to agree willingly without a trace of doubt.
27. If your character had one thing to say to their parents before they died, what would it be?
He would shake their hands and say thank you for birthing him, its been a real treat really and he loves being evil and he just wished he had done this sooner. He knows you are proud of him!
His parents are long dead though and would be horrified at what their child grew up to be, going from a superman like figure to the worse monster to roam the earth.
28. Are they afraid of death? Do they have any regrets?
He feels he is the embodiment of death now and so cannot die. Sort of too on his high horse to consider his death a possibility and regrets? Lord no! He takes ownership of everything he does and lives it to the fullest because regrets are for the weak! For those that doubt themselves! Which he never does for a minute.
29. Does your character get restless when things are too quiet or do they favour solitude and silence? Why?
He does get restless. Being an extrovert, he is at his best when around people and having others to play off of and intimidate. Alone, he just has his own company and his own deeds to face, sort of has to confront some things he really wants to push aside, threats to that unwavering self confidence... so always makes noise and has someone around at least as solitude is very uncomfortable.
30. Finally; if your character was forced to eat one thing for the rest of their life, what would they choose and why?
Grapes. They are multi-purpose and come in many strange and exotic flavors. Can make wine with grapes. Can make juice with grapes. Can make stuffed grape-leaves with grapes c: Grape seeds roasted! Grapes are the best.
