Meet Noel Lito Sayson, laser physicist
1) What do you do? My research is mainly focused on developing a low-cost, low-power, widely tunable optical source suitable for mid infrared spectroscopy.
2) Where do you work? I work at Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology in Iligan City, Philippines. But I took a study leave since 2016 to pursue my dreams in life.
Currently, I am a PhD student doing experiments with the Nonlinear Optics and Photonics lab at The University of Auckland, New Zealand. Our group’s website is https://laserlab.blogs.auckland.ac.nz/
3) Tell us about the photos!
[Top:] Me, me trying to pabebe :) #lablife [Bottom:] One of the main streets in Dunedin, New Zealand. 4) Tell us about your academic career path so far.
● Elementary: SPED Center, Iligan City ● High School: Iligan City National High School, Iligan City ● BS Physics, Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology, Iligan City ● MS Physics, Clemson University, South Carolina, USA ● PhD Physics (on-going), The University of Auckland, New Zealand 5) Anything else you’d like to share?
I have been playing Guns of Glory for more than a year already.
