When I first went into the lash game, I wanted something inexpensive to practice with. I ran across Elf Natural Lash Kit at my target. They were perfect to practice with since they are only a $1 and it included a lash glue. I felt bad for anyone who was after me at the check out line, because I literally took Target’s whole stock of this product.
I may have gone a little overboard but I am glad I did. Lashes are no joke, a bitch to put on. I went through a lot of these on day one! The lash strip is long enough to fit on most eyes, I personally have to cut them down a little. When I applied my first set of lashes I fell in love immediately. These lashes are so beautiful. They are long and perfectly spaced! Gives my lashes so much more volume. These lashes are far from being natural. They do blend pretty well with my natural lashes.
I did try the lash glue. The little glue bottle comes with a stick to apply it onto the lashes. This made applying a pain in the butt. I would go to dip in the stick and the glue would fall over. Most of the glue ended on the floor. I would prefer to use a squeeze tube instead. The glue worked better than I thought it would my lashes stayed on for 4 hours. Around the 4th hour the lash started to come off starting from the inner corners of my eye. Luckily I purchased a separate lash glue as a back up.
They are some drawbacks when buying cheaper lashes. Every time I take the lashes out of the packaging, the original lash strip glue (the glue that holds the lashes to the packaging) is so hard to get off. Most of my time is spent trying to get that taken off. The lash line is a little too thick, it would have been better for a thinner line so it blends seamlessly to the lash line. But thick is better for beginners so you have more control. Lastly the lashes itself are not natural hairs, they have a glossy finish to them. But that can be fix with some mascara!
With those drawbacks I still think this pair of lashes are the best for beginners.
