Ingrid: "This is a philosophical essay about the author's experience eating a cactus called peyote which contains mescaline. Peyote is found in northern Mexico and in the United States. The title of the book is based on a quote by William Blake – I love William Blake. I've tried mescaline before. It takes you to a different dimension. I was in the middle of the desert when I ate it and it made me feel very far away from the reality we live in. I puked, but I was ok. A cactus that you should eat while you're in Mexico is called nopal. It doesn't have any drugs in it. It's cheap, healthy and it tastes great." @lizergyk #AldousHuxley #LasPuertasDeLaPerception #TheDoorsOfPerception / @theubc for #subwaybookreview #mexicocity 🇲🇽
