Maya Imamori & Kohaku Shida in The Last Lesson: Only Those Who Survived Can Graduate (2024)
One such scene includes Wolgast braiding Amy’s hair as she finally admits to him the full extent of her new abilities. 'When you’re a parent you just want your kids to tell you things and when your kid comes to you with something important like that it’s really important to just not freak out and just gently encourage the conversation,' Heldens says, noting that a lot of this first season was about parenting to her. She and Gosselaar discussed how in these moments of confessing something, it can be less pressure for the person doing the confessing if he or she doesn’t have to look at the person he or she is talking to. 'I knew I wanted the scene to be one where they were looking in one direction, and then I was like oh obviously he has to braid her hair,' she says. 'That was the last really intimate conversation that they were going to have for 100 years so we wanted to make it really great.'

“Stay in the Light” & “Last Lesson”
The Passage, S01E09 & S01E10
It was a good setup for the next season. The season as a whole had terrible structure but now that the season is over you can see what they were trying to do. The ending was the best part and feels like it should have been the starting point.
I liked the two future scenes because it is the closest the show has gotten to the overall action and emotional pull of the book trilogy.
I look forward to season 2 with the hope that they have a better hold on whose story they want to tell.
Last Lesson
So today, I had my lesson of all of my studies. It was an groupe oral presentation about gifts in psychology (patients giving gifts to therapists and how to deal with it properly). It means that now I only have 1 report, 2 exams and my end of studies work before getting my diploma.
That feels weird that today was my last lesson XD (Huh neat?) I want to celebrate it with pizza somehow XD.
But yeah I’m glad it’s going well for now ^^
