Thanks for the tag, @silverfactory! I am woefully disengaged from fic writing these days, but I did manage to sit down and write out a fragment of an idea for a VG fic, thanks to your timely prompt. It's only a few paragraphs long, but here is the last sentence:

The blue in itself doesn’t mean anything necessarily, but then Curt’s eye catches on the detail that ties it all together—an earring that dangles from one earlobe, half-hidden by the atrocious blue hair, and Curt can feel his heart turn to glass at the sight.
