“that’s the spirit! ... no pun intended.” get it? because she’s a ghost. it might be hard to believe, but it really wasn’t intended --- although the ghost is giving herself a patting on the back regardless. “here’s the thing... i’m not, like, a poet or anything like that. i am, however, an expert of positive affirmations. hope is what you make of it and --- i guess i’m saying that it isn’t really gone, unless you want it to be.” so she hopes that they keep their heads up for their own sake. she’s not so good at words.

although birds gracefully soar through the lavishly decorated halls,  their obnoxious chatter drops like rocks on the crowd,  more so anyone in proximity,  proclaiming exciting news.     well,  at least to chirp,  this is all too exciting.     for some time,  the talk surrounding her cousin’s pen name and his book were coming to a steep decline and while she knows there will come a time when the public would not be so keen about old news   ...   SHE CARES ABOUT HIM AND HIS NAME BEING IN THE MOUTHS OF ANYONE AND EVERYONE.

“   what are you smiling at?   ”     asks a curious @lastofcraft,  watching as the lady’s crimson eyes stare at her familiars.     an unknowing smile on the countess's face.

chirp is thankful that her cousin decided to be out in the open about being THE AIRY PEARRY to their small collective.     now,  she does not need to try so hard to keeps things a secret and maintain her composure,  though there is still the public to keep in mind.     “   have you heard?   THE GREEN HUNTER  is getting a spin - off series.   ”

“it would be foolish to think otherwise, wouldn’t it?” annabel lee acknowledges, and although the smile on her lips is faint as she speaks, she knows these are words that are important to here. sometimes, it is oh so easy to be preoccupied with the thoughts of what could have been and in the other’s presence, she can’t help but seek comfort. “well... if i may ask, what is it that you do when there is nothing more that you wish than to rewrite what you have known?”

a gentle smile graces the lips of the queen in white, an understanding nod to accompany it shortly after. “nervousness, concern... it all comes down to technicalities, does it not? at the end of the day --- all that it means is that you care.” and empathy is an ability that webby doesn’t take for granted, although that doesn’t mean that she is implying the opposite for the other dear warlock patron that blesses her with their presence. far from it. “tell me, did it end in that which you hoped for?”

he is but a humble bugbear in the presence of a survivor and a savior to a court that puts all other courts to shame ( no offense to the unseelie court ) and for the briefest of moments, he is overwhelmed with gratitude. his eyes begin to well with tears and he thinks to himself he is not worthy, however, he knows better than to vocalize this. if not for his pride, than for binx choppley’s honor that he holds dear. although hob resembles much of the captain that he was, his head bowing, there is a soft smile that graces his lips as his head lifts to meet her eyes once more.

“your words --- there are matters in which i lack... in particular, to understand the kindness afforded to me outside my former kith and kin, and you have shown me great kindness. know that i do not take lightly your words and that i share such sentiment; you are the pride of your court and, quite frankly, you put all other courts to shame.”

a little birdie has informed me that the waters of the sea foam court are absolutely boiling about the spectacle you pulled at the hedge maze event—  the sudden reveal of the member of the court of craft, @lastofcraft, alongside you,  rue,  member of the court of wonder.     it is such an impressive feat to convince,  it deserves to be heard.     however,  as astounding as it is,  it peaks my interest in how one would rope in such as mysterious and scarce court.     as a matter of fact,  i do not recall,  and i have an exceptional memory,  the individual being present day one of the bloom.     a late arrival to a grandeur event such as this should not be taken so lightly.     it makes my rapidly beating heart break at the thought of your sudden leniency but alas,  i understand—  it is not every day you find missing things and you,  of course,  are the master of ceremonies.     you are expected to make such elaborate plans.

once again,  i commend the unexpectedness that is to come with this last bloom and i cannot wait for what other surprises you have waiting up your fashionable feathers.

it isn’t lost on andhera that in their presence --- although he may stumble through his words from time to time --- he is calm, and he is collected. they find themselves talking about anything and wanting to talk about everything with binx, feeling no need to rush to a conclusion, and his confidence growing. however, in the briefest moments of silence, the prince is aware how he might sound. “you... you are a good listener.” they find themselves able to say, a mixture of a laugh and a sigh of relief leaving his lips. “i appreciate it, really, but --- i mean, you don’t have to! not that i don’t believe you! i’m... i’m going to stop talking now. i would love... to listen. to you, listen to you in particular. if you have anything that you want to say.”

i’ve fucked it up again, haven’t i?

i know i have spoken to you, very briefly, about my upbringing. and i appreciate the kindness that you have shown me, that you have allowed me to ramble on and on as i do quite often. too often. that is to say, you have this air around you... which is funny, because i am... no, no, that’s terrible.  what i am trying to say is that i feel that i can share these things about myself and i know that you will listen, which is something i am not used to.

all that to say that i met with my mother today, the queen of air and darkness, and it was quite possibly the most terrifying thing i have ever done. but i did it. i... confronted her in a manner that i usually do not have the strength, i in fact did have to cast heroism on myself but that is besides the point, but i feel invigorated. now, more than ever, i am emboldened to make things right to take place place within the unseelie court. i have learned that my sister, suntar, is working on her own accord and not that of the unseelie court which is equal parts reassuring and frightening, but...

i don’t know. i don’t know exactly what the point of this letter is.

i suppose i wanted to share that... with you, obviously. and thank you. i have a lot to think about, these days. this certainly has been a crazy bloom and i can only imagine what is in store for us next.
