I haven’t written on Tumblr in a while but here’s a catchup so far.
It’s been exactly two months since I’ve graduated (a few days overlapped but whatever.) During this time, I spent having fun doing yolo things (ie Cedar Point, Diana & PJoe’s Wedding, etc). I’ve also tried spending time with as many people as possible: those whom I’m close with, those who are leaving, etc. It’s been a joy.
On the flip side, I rushingly tried finding a job. I made a deal with my parents that I would go back home IF I were unable to find a job here in Michigan. With fears of home, I tried finding anything. Through God’s grace, I was hired by a company sometime in the middle of June. Timing was nearly impeccable. God provided and now I’m here in Ann Arbor for the indefinite future.
I start my first day of work tomorrow. Going through a lot of anxieties, whether if I’ll like the job, will I have enough energy to live a life after a day’s end, etc. A lot of dumb fears.
One major thing I learned during this period of time is that the transition period IS REAL. Like no doubt. IT SERIOUSLY SUCKS! It felt especially worse hearing friend after friend leaving Ann Arbor for work. Honestly though, I think this is a period that is absolutely necessary. You not only learn a lot about yourself but also about your relationship with God. You realize the ample of free time one has during this period and how wasteful we can use it... which I don’t think is 100% bad or anything.
Anyways, it’s getting late so I’ll end it here. Cheers.
