“Gritty Streets of Rome” music video streaming on #YouTube link in bio directed by @zero_the_one makeup and hair by @saggycarlo ———————————————————This is a song that’s special for me because I wrote it on an adventure “writing excursion.” Ever see the movie or read the book “Wild?” My life’s story was similar to that. When I wrote this album I was staying in #Gaeta Italy where I wrote this particular song after a dream. In this dream I had finished the album and I was in my home recording studio and there was a mummified wolf 🐺 that’s the symbol of Rome (It’s important to note that Gaeta, Italy is the coastal town with “Split Mountain” where people believe the mountain split in half when Jesus was crucified) In my dream the wolf had a bottle of holy water in its mouth. I wrote this song after meeting a wonderful friend in Rome that period and we coincidentally also fell in love, but eventually had to depart to make the album. I eventually returned and lived in Rome for a year to tour and of course reunite with friends. I returned in 2017 and released the album on limited edition digipak as well as #lathevinyl single on Brooklyn’s @leestavall Recordings. touring cross country in the US and playing with my band in SouthTexas. For me it was important to be a part of a community in #SanAntonio and #Austin where my band mates live between the two cities before I released any music. And give back to the community for a while through my open mic. The album “Traveling with Ghosts” will be streaming on Spotify this month. I’m in the process of writing ✍️ songs for a next album.
