Okay, so there’s this kid who rides his bike up to the little shopping strip at the local intersection every day.  He spends the day being cute enough to get free cookies in the hispanic convenience store and sitting on a spare stool in the hair studio watching soap operas with the hair stylists on the tiny black and white tv, and, honestly, he’s lance to me.

Like, lance’s mom got tired of lance always talking her ear off while she does the early evening chores that she forgoes his help with them to send him out on his bike.  She knows he’s safe up there at the shopping strip, so, she just expects him home for dinner, usually with some extra cookies for his siblings because he’s a good kid.  LOUD, but ultimately sweet.
