OMG Hi I just saw this :)
okay so besides hadestown two other musicals keep competing for the top spot:
Falsettos: both the OBC and the revival are the most important pieces of midia that I ever watched in my life! I love Marvin, he's my number one blorbo and nobody gets him like I do (I even wrote a 15 pages analysis of his arc starting with In Trousers and ending in falsettoland cause he was consuming my last braincell). I love how they handled homosexuality and the AIDs crises, RIP Bill Finn. Sometimes I come back to my falsettos obsessed phase so stay tuned.
Great comet: I'm still mad this show didn't win best musical and later closed meaning I'll never be able to see it live... My favorite characters are Sonya and Pierre. It made me buy war and peace even if I haven't read it yet. The musical is about a small section of the book and I love how they worked with the stage (Persephone's actress has a role in this one btw)
