It is out!
The book of poetry by one of the most celebrated Latvian Poets, Imants Ziedonis - first time translated in English!
This little book captures and encapsulates work by so many talanted people, from it’s founder and dreamer, Žanete Gremde, the books Translator, Ivars Šteinbergs, who, over the last year has painstakingly translated words, nyanses, rhytms of Ziedonis poetry, Musicians, who have composed it into songs (as part of the project), our amazing project manager @kristinetjarve for holding it all ( and us) together and many more incredible people.
It has been an honour to be the Artist for this book and I can not wait to see where it will end up on it’s travels ( countries & people). And for a project like this, you NEED to have a super Graphic Designer, whom you can trust, whose eye loves detail and understands the importance of the flow and coexistance of all the visual elements of the book - THANK you Una Grants @una_gr ! And of course, the publishing house JUMAVA and all people involved in this project.
