“Cooked!” - Episode Review
Now we’re up to the last ‘special’ episode of the season. How did the opening of Lynn Sr.’s dream restaurant fare? Let’s take a look. :)
Always fun to see Lincoln breaking the 4th wall to talk to the audience.
That was certainly an..interesting restaurant to fix. Got a good laugh at the fish prop falling off the old sign and hitting vanzilla. The scenes where they were renovating the place were particularly fun with Lynn Jr. getting overzealous with the demolition, Lana doing an amazing job as usual fixing the bathrooms and Lisa going a bit overboard as a health inspector. The hiring scene was fun as well. Great to see Kataro back and the guy from the burger joint finally has a name...Grant :)
Now the kinds have to come up with their own idea for the promotion of the restaurant..this won’t go well..hehe. Had no idea why the siblings were allowed to vote on their own ideas but the fight cloud after was pretty funny.
Lincoln’s time shooting the commercial was fun. Clyde was especially funny in the tree costume. All things considered, Lincoln did an amazing job with the commercial..probably too well.
Got a good laugh at the running gag of Lincoln wanting to help drive the buses only for Rita to stop him. Things seem to be going well at first.
Each of the sister’s ideas were fun in their own way. Lisa’s ideas for bottomless fries was a pretty good one. Luan’s was pretty fun..both are something a lot of restaurants actually do now. Lori’s idea was sound one..a photo booth would be something unique in a restaurant. Lana’s idea, while cute and funny was fairly impractical and could create several health code violations..perhaps just limit it to well behaved pets?. Lynn Jr..’s idea was probably my least favorite considering how long it takes to cook food properly. Luna was..just a little overzealous with her performance..hehe. Leni’s idea was particularly fun and a good way to get the senior crowd even if the prize was a little much..should’ve just limited to a free app or dessert something. Not sure about Lola’s or Lily’s..each didn’t get much time for theirs.
Really felt for Lynn Sr. being overworked (tho the scene where he actually got knocked out by Leni was pretty funny.) I did enjoy Lincoln’s speech to the patrons. Great leadership there. Loved how the rest of the family and staff came together to save the night (and got a good laugh at how Lana cleaned the dishes). Loved Lucy’s idea to bring in Katherine Mulligan (the reporter from ‘Scales Of Justice’) to interview Lynn Sr. for the local news..way to step it up, Lucy. :) The interview as really funny with the kids helping the unconscious dad through the interview.
The ending part was really sweet with Lynn Sr. wanting to name dishes after each of the kids. Loved Leni’s suggestion at the end..hehe..don’t ever change, Leni.
This was a really funny and sweet episode. All the promos were fun and hilarious and you could tell each of the siblings meant well. The last part of the episode in particular was really fun and sweet with everyone working together. One more thing that I greatly enjoyed was all the cameos from characters we’ve seen throughout the season..there’s too many to mention here but it was awesome to see them all. My only minor issue was with the siblings all voting on their own plans and not coming together but that was only a minor issue and it didn’t take away from the episode as a whole.
Will likely have to talk more about this episode in the near future. :)
In terms of the specials, I would rank this #2 behind ‘Really Loud Music’. Really hope we get to see more of Lynn’s Table Restaurant in the coming season. :)
Rating: 96 (out of 100)
We’re heading towards the homestretch of season 3. Only 4 more episodes to go! All of them airing March 4th - the 7th likely starting with ‘The Write Stuff’ (tho that could change). How will the final 4 episodes of the season fare? Tune in next time to find out and of course, keep checking this page for more Loud House content. :)
