A sneer. "Laura I don't tell you how to do your job, would you stay out of it?"
"It's not JUST your job, Stuart! You're with him all the time, he's your friend!" She's exasperated. He won't listen. "Stuart he's using you and you know it. You're so tired all the time, you haven't got any time for me or us—"
"I'll figure this out, Laura. It's not him, it's the job."
She stands up quickly and huffs. "Right. Your job: trying to make him look good. Even now, you're working off the clock." She walks away but he lifts his head at this. "I don't get what you see, Stu. He's a bad person."
