10 – Laura
Another week, another elimination I wasn’t too heartbroken by. I thought Laura’s shot was stronger than those below it, but there were similar concerns to those present last week. While the more dead-pan face worked in a way last time, here it is ill-fitting, and throws off the shot. Her face is still pretty, but there is nothing behind it. Pose-wise, I don’t hate the idea, the slouched casual look could’ve worked, but the execution is off. Think she needed to lean backwards, rather than forwards. Also, it is one of the least integrated shots in terms of the horse, it could be entirely edited out, or be something entirely edited in post-shoot. Wish she had incorporated it in more, might have led to a less dull photograph.
