I think when daniel was first assigned to work with lauren he really looked up to her as the (vice) president a strex an they became friends an would confide in each other an talk about non-work related things (a rarity in strex) an at one point daniel does be like "it seems so nice to be a girl wish I could be one too" an laurens like "you can you can just be a girl" an basically they are kinda like a support system for each other an maybe even girlfriends :]

Dan realizing he’s in love with Lauren and being confused because he was not ordered to do that but oh it feels lovely .. 🥺☝️

🥺🥺 He's so bad at recognizing emotions outside of "productive" ones like "joy", satisfaction, and anger that for a bit he genuinely thinks that him feeling warm around her causing his fans to kick in and his heartrate increasing and the weird feeling in his stomach is him malfunctioning. It takes until he catches a glimpse of a romcom playing in a breakroom describing love as what he's feeling that he realizes and he is so confused but also on cloud nine about it

Also I love the image of Lauren and Daniel just going for drives through either town, just chatting and going around aimlessly without a care for schedule or any time restraints

I can imagine they spend the whole day drivin, neither of them have ever been able to just drive around like that an see the town or the desert roads. they don't stop until into the night when lauren falls asleep on Daniel's shoulder
