Upcoming Exhibition: Joseph Montgomery at Laurel Gitlen
A solo exhibition of works by Joseph Montgomery will be opening tomorrow, from 6-8, at Laurel Gitlen gallery on the Lower East Side. The show is the artist's third with Gitlen. Titled Heads, Calves, the show will display a series of paintings in light, pale colors. This new body of works continues to Montgomery's critical position in painting: that images can be both literal objects and representations.
Montgomery will also have a concurrent exhibition on view at Peter Blum Gallery in New York titled Doll Index. Both exhibitions run through December.
