I am sort of wondering why I'm keeping notes like this on design when I'm planning to commission someone else who may have a completely different art style to me. Still, some notes on Protagonist Eyes, since I'm doing a bit of design work today.

Welcome to 'Lauren Still Doesn't Know How To Draw'! In this episode: Hair!!!
But honestly, as long as it gets the idea across, that's fine. 'Black with blue undertones' was the main idea, although seeing this has made me wonder if I maybe want the protagonist to have honest-to-god blue highlights as well...
Eh, this is just basic design right now, that's something to be worked out with an actual artist.
Side note, I'm actually a little proud of how that freehanded-hand turned out. No refs or anything, just eyeballing it. It's no massive feat but it's the best I've ever done and I can be proud of that.
Still more of a blog update than a game update, but I've done a little bit of actual work on the next game, at least! Unfortunately I'm chipping away at art/design, which is definitely not my strong suit.
This time, though, I just need to get some proper character design sheets, since I'm planning to save up to get an actual artist to contribute to this next game, instead of struggling along on my own!
Mostly I'm hoping posting here more regularly, even if it's just a blogging sort of update like this, will mean I'm held responsible for actually doing some work on this, instead of drowning in life issues and forgetting to touch it like I have for the last few months. So expect more of these rambling/stream of consciousness updates!
Well, I just did a whole lot of messing around on the blog theme, which means I've totally worked on visual novel creation today and I am absolutely not procrastinating!
I deserve a reward for how good I'm being, surely. Time for a delicious treat!
