Ah! Thank you! 🥺 Laurent hand raised his gators (he loves them they all have names. He'd fall in love with gator folk 👀) and he trusts animals over people. Beastkin are largely uncharted territory for him but I think he'd get on with them a bit better than just a regular human.

Is Laurent human?

So, like, does Laurent ever get attached to his company? If he did, what would it be like?

Laurent has a chance of forming a bond with his captives, but it's iffy if his deity lets Laurent keep them long term. His deity provides everything for him in exchange for his "supply run" to acquire a person every few weeks. They let him have his fun, but in the end they require their blood. If his deity had wanted him to have a partner, they would have provided him the means to locate them. That just hasn't happened yet.

When he's not as heavily under his deity's thumb, he's actually pretty chill. He likes to fish and hunt with company, or just lay in bed and fuck most of the day away. There's not much else to do in the middle of nowhere, but he relishes in the quality time and intimacy that can develop in such a setting.
