While Cliff was still attached to his military career, Scot embraced semi-retirement. He was still going to conferences, but the bulk of his work was done… it was time to sit back with a book and unwind.

Part-time jobs were well and good, but Cliff was prudent to remind Lav her studies came first.

The Notes family—Scot, Cliff, and Lav—enjoyed a relaxed season. The biggest piece of news of the family was the spontaneous engagement of Lav’s older sister Holly.

Lav, for one, was not concerned at all. Holly, if a bit headstrong, knew what she wanted—there was no need for worry.

Another important thing was raising Don. Each of them went a different way about it. Ida Juana assumed that with Otto and Ferris in LGU, he must have missed roughhousing with his brothers. So she set out to fill this void herself. Ooh, he had a heavy hand—just like his uncle Hugh!

Helen, on her end, was happy to provide him with real-time advice on what to say to the new pretty girl in class (Lav Notes!) over the phone.

Then it was Lav’s birthday.

Now a Pleasure/Popularity sim, she aged up into this stylish dress, which I decided to keep. Despite her somewhat frivolous aspirations, she was a very serious young lady, a lover of Music & Dance. I am really getting a refined aura from her.

Cliff joined Scot and his fellow Nerdists in elderhood.

Scot wished his daughter would not become an astronaut, as Cliff had been before being promoted to general. He wanted a safer life for her. Lav reassured him: not for all the gold in this world!

The Notes family had recently seen Holly off to university and was now made up of Scot, Cliff, and Lav. Scot made Lav's development his top priority.
