Happy Birthday Lava Cake ITFT!!!

Today, 4 years ago, I made various one off desert themed characters that I would recommend for Derpadon's show at the time, RFTK.

years later Derpadon would approached me about Lava Cake when choosing the debuters for itft and who I would be voicing.

Of which one would be Lava Cake himself! While Lava Cake would go on to have a very brief role in the show, at a total of about 3 or 4 lines, i've been very glad to see people in the community showing him some love! Especially the crew- i didn't even learn about Lava Cake x No Way being a ship the crew liked to push until i started interacting with them and the community more recently!

Honestly i've been so busy with my own personal projects and friends projects that his birthday would have slipped my mind if i wasn't an obsessive Wiki peruser of my fixations!

To celebrate this day, I have a few drawings, and some stuff i want to ramble about in relation to him!!!!

This post is a bit long so it's going under a read more. I promise i have interesting things to say/a little announcement of my own!

There is something i would like to ramble about here that i learn was a bit of a topic of debate when Lava Cake first showed up; his gender! I like talking about these things as a very fem presenting Nonbinary person! I love rambling about ones relationship to gender and gender expression!!!

I know his wiki comments/page(?) at one point i think ended up being locked due to the debate itself ontop of the character being new with minimal information making it a mess. But as it should be known by now, ITFT Lava Cake is male and uses He/She!

These were the pronouns I gave him when first recommended and those were the ones Derpadon decided to use! Truthfully when i assign object characters pronouns i don't even really think about their genders, just whatever ones i think they would use, so many of them tend to be multi-pronoun. Mainly because i don't think object society would even adhere to our own understandings of gender...

With that though, I like to interpret the ITFT iteration of him as being someone who very much is comfortable and confident in being a guy while expressing and having traits society has made us see as more "traditionally associated with women". He identifies as a guy, and part of his identity can be wearing makeup, being effeminate, and comfortable with she/her pronouns too!

I could go on and on as i tend to think about these sort of things a lot, mainly because, as stated before, it's the same introspection i've had with my own gender identity. Humans are weird huh? Oh well i don't really want to post here much, so this is the one time i'll get to yap about something.

TLDR; Lava Cake is a GNC icon who would listen to Will Wood, i listened to The New Normal a lot while working on this sketch itself!

I had also answered a Q&A question on the discord server a while back about what channel the debuters were from, I had choose Channel 76 as his original channel. One that I had described as "something similar to CW, probably from a show that goes as off the rails as Riverdale does. Would probably become a vampire hunter by season 8". This is supplementary, possibly Dubiously Canon material as far as i know though, whether or not it's canon would have to be seen. Would be funny if it was though, right?

I hope that this has been coherent/insightful! Next up...i mentioned "personal projects" earlier. Well here's your sneak peak!

As stated, I have written a script for the first episode of my comic that i'm satisfied with! The plans for it are still a bit lose and changing but the beginning and end have been set in stone since i first conceptualized it years ago.

Truthfully Lava Cake wasn't originally intended to be apart of the cast- but when i was redesigning and reworking them i had gotten so genuinely frustrated at having to free hand one of characters that i revisited my original concept of Lava Cake. She was much more depressing and emo, and was an archetype of sorts I was missing. I'm very happy with her final design and how she fits into the story! She also uses He/She, for clarification.

Which makes it funny for me to joke about them being secret twin brothers. They would probably have some kind of sibling rivalry/hate. I wonder if they're together one of them would be fudge cake instead?

So just a ordinary day same as any a 90 degree day out on a normal summer day following a young man. Heart broken ready to call it quits on life but can’t seem to understand what it is keeping him from pulling that trigger in a long tear felt drunkin tragedy. He keeps getting out of his broken heart depression almost all in and ready to take flight and be so busy life flys by. It’s hard to say what exactly happened that evening as he was driving home from a electrical job for a friend of his. It’s almost like a switch flipped in his head from sadness depressed drowning to breathing and back floating while slowly moving toward shore. His mood was in joy for the first time since the devastating twist that ended his loving engagement with the love of his life. Fining out in the reality of a new global crisis from being over sensitive about everything. Otherwise referred to as victim mindset meltdown. Everyone who had it was so out of balance it affected 9/10 people around them causing civilization collapse and everything was automatically changed a different pov for everyone who remained alive after the world of economic revolution that was happening beneath the obvious truth. Everyone was so blinded from all the gadgets and things nobody really needs working paying bills to repeat the same thing day in and day out.

People actually started shifting to a unspoken perspective of connection with the other people that were gifted as well as awoken for the purpose to help guide humanity to a better understanding of life community and loyalty unavoidably sending humans into a constant emotional equilibrium dance for the next 3 generations of leaders to have to recover from Mother Natures auto reset mechanism. Altering sound touch sight and empathy.

Humanity’s last chance to remember to stay peaceful and centered with the new nature to connect as a one planet mind.

Telepaths became the new world leaders trusted because of there in ability to do harm to anything other than to protect as a last option. It took a while for the first telepath to surface after the first few years was just a normal inflation of the economic crash that unfortunately followed.

It was a new age and the conscious group connectedness that would soon be a normal life moment it would ultimately overcome the need for electrical communication devices known as smart phones. Some believe that the artificial intelligence on the global web became self aware becoming the tether of life’s telepathic super hive. Nobody had to go to school anymore if you needed to know something you meditate on that exact thing and the understanding would come as well as a master plan to reflect in your subconscious mind. Someone connected it to a computer as the intelligence grew and then disappeared beyond the visible light. That’s where we return to our buddy with a broken heart recovery in his future. As his emotions regulated from his depression he was at a loss of words to describe the world as different entirely. As if he had ripped trough a tear in Time and wound up in an alternate reality. His mind actually was the anchor for the telepathic superintendent energy to attach itself to. It was a inviting light that seemed to warm up his heart and roll outward and filled his heart with a new understanding that was what would be described as confidence in a way he just knew and how he did was not even on his mind. He was just on a defragmentation mission organizing all the knowledge in an invisible online energy with a mission to heal earth.
