Viral Pokerus: Laventon

Laventon is extremally excited about the festival. After all the stress everybody has gone through with the rift and the red sky, he thinks this will be a good way to destress. Plus, celebrations are very fun in general.

He also hopes that the Festival will make Lucas feel like a part of Jubilife again. He knows that Lucas has been traumatized from being exiled and that Laventon is one of the only people in the village that Lucas still frequently talks too. The poor boy has gotten very quiet since everything that happened.

The festival happens and Laventon is having a good time with both of is assistants. He doing his best to help Lucas have a good time. There's a bit of an incident with some of Lucas's pasture Pokemon running around, before being corralled back to the pastures.

Laventon is sad to see the festival called off early, due to the cold spreading around. He was really hoping to life Lucas's spirits up but the festival didn't seem to help much. A few days pass then shit hits the fan.

The colds had been getting worse but now people started collapsing with high fevers. The most horrifying part is that they are starting to grow Pokemon features. Akari, Laventon's assistant is one of those people. He is beside himself seeing her collapse.

Soon, Ginter and Ingo arrive, both are stunned at the chaos as people panic over what is going on. Ingo goes up to to Laventon who has started (to his own concern) having some cold symptoms as well. Ingo has a Zubat that he claims to be Melli. That Melli had completely turned into a Zubat somehow but it was still Melli in there. Ingo was hoping that Laventon had some idea what was going on.

Well, he didn't before but now he's got a theory. This virus spreading around turns people into Pokemon. He decides to call it Pokerus. It's a relief to know that after turning into a Pokemon, they will still be themselves.

Laventon tells Komado about Pokerus. Komado announces to the village what is going on. There is still panic but it's calmed down. Quarantining is going to start for the safety of everybody. Temporary Tents are being set up at prelude beach. Lucas leaves to check on the clans.

Laventon has lost contact with Lucas because he has to stay in the sick camp, and Lucas has yet to fall ill. Lucas has already gone through so much, and Laventon is worried about how he's handling the current events.

He gets even more worried when Cylene has to join him in the sick camp. Cylene is big part of Komado's reasoning skills, he worries greatly about what might happen next. He finds out that Komado tried to see if the transformed people could be captured in Pokeballs (they can't). He also realizes that he he's been seeing less and less wild Pokemon around. Laventon turns into an Oshawott.

After Cylene transforms she starts using teleport to let transformed people from the sick camp get to the Field lands, do to how little space they have at the beach. Lucas had gotten sick and transformed sometime since Laventon had last seen him, Laventon is sad he wasn't there for Lucas in a time of need.

Lucas can fly, so he's been flying to Laventon because he wants to keep working on the Pokedex because he thinks they might need to for his mission from Arceus. If he completes his mission, Lucas reasons, then he ask Arceus to fix whatever is happening.

Laventon is happy to keep working on his Pokedex but he worries about Lucas working himself so hard.
